Every time I'd raise my left arm I'd have to grab my elbow with my right hand to get it down again. The pain got so bad at one point it was necessary to repair it. Had a great surgeon, expert beyond compare, repair it. Took four months of recovery and another six of therapy. I was never able to go back to work doing what I was before but it took little convincing to make sure I never did it again. That was 1992. I'm 71 now and as bad as my right shoulder is now, I'll never want to have the same operation again. That's how painful it was. I can't throw a rock ten feet now but I can pry the big ones out with a tanker bar.

Same problem here, I did an MRI and Mondayi have an appointment with the surgeon... wondering how many days is the hospitalisation if surgery is needed?

This looks wayyy to close to my own right shoulder MRI aside from the acromion and the fact that I am not a 49 year old female. The radiolog who looked at mine notes the following:
    - SLAP lesion type 8
    - Subscapularis recess effusion
    - Subacromial-Subdeltoid bursal effusion
    - Supraspinatus tendinosis
    - Type 4 acromion (this patient in the video looks like Type 3 tho)
I played some volleyball and handball in my youth. Some basketball and lots of football (soccer for muricans) too. The problems arose due to a trauma tho. I was swinging this huge wooden stick like a lightsaber and while going inside out suddenly trying to change directions my shoulder just gave up. Has been 10 years too. I was around 18-19 at the time. I could throw a basketball from one side of the court to the other hundreds of times without batting an eye. I was highly accurate too I scored 2 in a row a few times from under one hoop to another. I could hit the backboard everytime. Ever since that incident I cannot even throw the ball from free throw line like that. My normal basketball shooting form is untouched tho, only the overhead throwing movement is gone. I can shoot normally from half court.
I initially went to a physical therapy doctor but she referred me to a orthopedic doctor after the MRI came through with SLAP lesions. I may be going for a surgery to at least drain out the cysts but we will see. I wrote all this for people looking for a similar case to themselves. While every case is unique and you should not skip going to actual doctors it is better to know similar cases. I will update this if I can.

What did they say about the subscapularis recess effusion? Was there also a tear of the subscap?
