In one of my videos of last summer you can see how I pick figs and dry them, and sell them on the local market, they're are loads and loads of fig trees here every where, and have some on the land here to
It's great to watch you make sheep cheese. I wanted to do the same with goat milk in Thailand until I discovered that the milk is pasteurized and sweetened - I'm still shocked
Hi there, I also make my own paneer. Love it. I use the water that is left behind after separating the milk for cooking my rice and dahl and vegetables. Very soft creamy tast and it containes the valuable amino acids that veggies also need. It’s a lot of work being self maintained! Have been a gardener most of my life, best wishes with expressing your dreams and desires for your life ❤
Nice to see how well you've done, I think that you've achieved loads already, your girlfriend must've been really impressed with the progress. Looking forward to seeing the garden produce for you.👍
Great progress with your gardening, nothing more satisfying than growing your own food. You need to find a cool place for storage, that way it will last much longer. The old way is a root cellar, not sure how viable that option is there, something to consider.👍
So envious of homesteaders who don't have to use the fencing because of deer and such wildlife. For me it was the sole reason for starting late, because of the price, and main reason why I want to quit every year because deer still break in at least once per year. Sorry for ranting, really good job dude! What did you use for tilling with?
Well I had my fair share of breaking fences with our own animals, but sounds like you have a really hard time with those deer . We got some around , but not much. A bigger treat to the garden are the wild boar, I am pretty sure at some point I will have them over in my garden... just hope that the damage won't be to bad.
Cool idea with the lavender oil, you can also put some dried lavender in your pillow case as well, helps with insomnia, also keeps mites away, and for natural deworming you can use dried pumkin seeds for the dogs.😊
Nice job on that HUGE vegetable garden 👌 Soon you'll have reached you're goals brother ! Maybe a root cellar? That would be my choice for storage of the produce. Just a thought !! You do you ,and I'll just sit and observe. Lol.
Hi Zachery! Thanks! Yeah root cellar is on the to do list... But that list seems to be ever growing 😄 , but I will start working on it soon, I need it to store the cheese that I make to...
You are doing so well! Planting gobs of wonderful veggies. And the goat cheese, meat, and other things are great. So happy for you! Janice from Arkansas USA
The garden is looking good. You have achieved so much. You mentioned cabin progress, I see the roof is now covered in a poly sheet, did your original covering fail?
I've been watching your videos since you started in Portugal. You achieved so much. I must congratulate you on the quality of your videos. Watching it is a pleasure. I like your honesty too. What you see is what is happening, even your mishaps. True to real live, no Hollywood productions😂😊❤
Thank you so much! It's lovely to hear your been following so long! This kind of comment is really heart warming to me, I sometimes struggle with making the video's, but when I hear people enjoying so much it keeps me motivated! So thank you! ❤️
I wish you great success and a bountiful harvest from your garden 😊. Btw, I have seen other people putting shade cloth over the vegetable bed in the summer because of the intense heat. Will that be a problem in your area? Question: is it possible to create depth in the stream for dipping in the summer? A thought. Have you considered creating a wish list in Amazon?
Yeah I've been thinking about that for shade, but this year my garden is in the shade most parts of the day.. so I will see how it progresses, I got some nets here that we use for olive harvest, they might be a option to use, and no I haven't thought about a wishlist, didn't now you could do such a thing 😅 I might look into it
And the river completely dries out in summer, you can find some realy small puddles here and there, but then their infested with mosquito and other bugs, soo... but I have this other thank on the land that we can fill up with water to take a plung in
Thanks for your vid 😇💟💟💟 Love and bless you Guy, good work making the veggies garden 😁 maybe water melon 🍈 and hurps. don't you have to mow the grass bye the neighbor where the fruits trees are.
Thanks! No I haven't, maybe after summer will put in some more fruit trees, but there's so much fruit here everywhere you go(most fruit doesn't get picked ), that I don't feel the need so much to be growing fruit, only to benefit my little system here.
Yeah I always had the plan to make a root cellar, I just been to busy with other jobs lately working on other people's land, to earn a bit of money, now I got more time again, and a root cellar is high on the list of jobs needing to be done soon
You can put melon, cantaloupe, watermelon, garlic, onion, peppers, beefsteak tomato, beans, sweet potato, beetroot, strawberries, water you don't lack, you can make use of it......
Het is ook om te verwerken en te wekken, en eventueel product en om op de lokale marke te verkopen. Ook Valerie Kan er van oogsten, en delen met mijn Buren, en als er Dan nog over is , dient het als een snack voor onze dieren
At school we learned how to grow vegetables. We had a large school garden. That was 50/60 years ago. The soil was still in order and no chemical weed killers were used. Today I eat a carnivore diet because all vegetables are grown in poor soil and treated with glyphosate. Even grain that is grown organically is given a spray layer of glyphosate in the mills so that it dries faster. The proportion of vitamins in vegetables decreases and the proportion of oxalates increases. I feel sorry for all vegans.
'i feel sorry for all vegans' you got me laughing there 🤣🤣 I think veganism is a modern day city disease, to little contact with the real world . I understand wath your saying, but there still good vegetables about to, just not the stuff you find in the supermarkets, but it's the same for meat .. 99%of meat produced in this world is full of antibiotics, and full of water and preservatives..., that's why I want to grow my own, if you want to buy the quality of food that I grow(meat, fruit, veg) you need to be a rich person,
@@leavingbabylonfamily right, I have my own chicken and always looking for grass fed meat. I quit eating vegetable, but some berries, papaya and mangos from my garden is safe. go ahead with your great project and living in and with nature. regards from Thailand

Plant some fig trees they are delicious, easy to grow, figs can be dried and they last more than one year
In one of my videos of last summer you can see how I pick figs and dry them, and sell them on the local market, they're are loads and loads of fig trees here every where, and have some on the land here to
Don’t plant figs;
1. Anywhere else you wish to grow veg/fruit.
2. Figs are fast growing and wickedly intrusive.
Buy borage seeds and plant them, good for bees and edible
Borage grows wild here, no need to buy or plant them, and the place is full of flowers at the moment
EXCELLENT job 🔈🔉🔊
Thanks 😊

Surely you can find fresh goats milk somewhere? Straight from a local farmer? I love goats milk to .☺️

So nice to see another man's off-grid garden - and what a great tip with the heated bath tub - I gotta try that! ;)
Thanks, definitely do! It's amazing, you do need something to put on the bottom of the tub, so you don't get burned, I use a wooden plank

Any problems with wildfire there ?, if I live there I would have an escape plan if it happens, with climate change the risks are getting higher
Yes there are plenty of wild fires every year , there hasnt been any big ones here in the close area, but it can always happen..
I need that tub!!!!!
