OMG I FINALLY BEAT IT!!! I had an Elemental on Aerith because I didn’t have a 3rd Magnify yet. I put Revival on Yuffie instead of Mug. Round 3, 7 and 10 are the hardest. Took me about 7 tries. In Round 3 Tifa died by Ying Yang and I was able to revive her and continued on. Round 7 was the largest hump because the worms keep swallowing Aerith. I was able to pass that with a magnified stop on the worms, build my ATB up then Blizzaga with Tifa. Round 10 almost went sour on me. I did a Magnified stop then I haste to get rid of the slow but took too much time to haste again and the Joker hit Yuffie hard to 270HP. I stayed the course and did the “Too bad, so sad” combo and wrecked him and the Tonberry!!! Thank you Naz!!!

Just completed it myself using this guide, and I would recommend putting the fire & ice linked to one magnify on Aerith, and the second magnify on Yuffie's time materia. The magnified stop comes in handy if you need some breathing room to get things set up, plus being able to cancel out the Tonberry King's slow and then cast haste on the entire party in the last round. I also put a prayer materia on Tifa that bailed me out several times. One thing to note though is I didn't have the fury ring, so I don't know if that will influence which character you want the fire & ice + magnify on.

I’m 87/88 treasure trove at Johnnys. Round 5 in this was KILLING ME! Felt helpless and tried damn near everything. Finding you and holy shit. NIGHT AND DAY! Feels like I have a cheat code on. Great guide, even with the magnify - time mistake. In my run the Tonberry and Joker took Yuffie down to 200 health which had me worried, but as soon as the combo popped off it was over. Thanks.
With similar strategy and some tweaks in element used, the 3 girls of chaos can also win The seventh seal under 6 minutes. I used Wind on Tifa and Ice on Aerith.
Thanks for the guide, it was a lil tricky getting down at first (was getting my a handed to me in the first few rounds) but once you do the fights are easy. Note some fights might have to go off script a bit but nothing to bad. Also for round 7 I find it helpful to stop the worms right off then haste and build up, I find it give Tifa enough time to get 2 atb to hold in reserve for when yuffie gets eaten
So was trying the way you said in the comments regarding the missing third magnifying materia and I just couldn't get it to work without the aoe stop, so just my 2 cents here. As soon as I swapped the magnify to the aoe haste/Stop instead of the firaga on Tifa I cleared it. So if yall are struggling like I did for several hours. Swap the materia just so u can kill the last boss couse without it it's very scetchy. Great guide all in all though well done.
Also if you lack the 3rd Magnify, cast acarne ward on Aerith herself instead. Use Tifa to hit the most dangerous target and Aerith wipes the area. I manage to use this strategy to win with 5 Fire materials, no Genji, and no Fury ring. Great strat, mate.
For the 2 worms i recommend aerith ATB Boost on Yuffie, then Magnify STOP as this gives you more time to set up, Throw Yuffies weapon and build 1 bar, then Magnify Haste, then basic attack until you can brumal form, then use the usual rotation from here. That allowed me more consistently get past this battle. i found that i was getting Aerith and Tifa Swallowed quite frequently before i could finish the setup.
I dont know if the update changed something, but while i have control of Yuffie, they charge and kill Aerith and Tifa. By the time they have two bars, they are in the red. This has happened 12 strait attempts.
May not be the same as me, but I realized the fire materia I had linked to hp absorb was underleveled so firaga was not replenishing hp, so if Tifa and Aerith are dying too fast that could be the issue
I keep getting screwed by the white mousse becoming immune to fire after the first firaga. I’m setting it all up the same with the atb ward on Tifa but firage doesn’t stagger it for me. All characters level 70 and entire set up the same other than the third magnify. What am I missing? Is it just a matter of not getting it quick enough or something?
Assuming you have the exact materia at max levels, weapons and accessories then I don't know. I cleared this 20+ times before releasing the guide and I didn't come across that issue.

you are using 3 magnify in this build, but keep in mind that you get the 3rd one from this challenge. Considering tifa will be the one using the most spells, put one on her one on yuffie for the time materia i guess.
Yeah I forgot where I got it! Yuffie's Magnify isn't that impactful. You'll only notice it on Round 10. Just single Target Stop the Tonberry and watch out for the Joker's Attack!
Ohhh those! Yeah I just used the Hard Mode Build I have on the channel with Aerith carrying Barret and Red 13 while Tifa and Cloud paired up with Yuffie and got the win. I literally had 0 Materia on Barret, Red 13 or Yuffie! I'll go optimize those when I am done here! @@alexlopez-dk4jq

Made some modifications for survivability when things go wrong. Mainly revive and sacrificing some magic power for more vitality. Eventually managed to get it done. thanks! I used magnify on yuffie for haste/stop and Tifa for firaga. Aerith doesnt really need it as her job is to set wards. By the time the engine is in motion, tifa is nuking and aerith can join in with single target firaga after.
Thank you for that great strat. I was using the Quakaga strat before this but I could not beat the final round no matter what. I just got owned every time I made it. Used your strat and still had to try challenge like 10 times because of those sand worms but when I finally got to the final round, I beat it first try. Thanks again for this bud.
I only have 2 Magnify materia. There are only 3 in the game, right? I think the third one is obtained from winning completing this challenge. There's one Magnify in Chapter 1 when you're with Sephiroth, but I think you don't get to keep that one. >>Edit: Gah, I just saw the other comments on this. 😅
Another guide and another clear for me thank you! I will say though for this one round 3 gave me trouble because Ying kept awakening and not Yang first, so I could not follow the guide for that but finally the RNG was on my side and Yang awoke first and I was able to clear it all in one go. For people stuck with the worms what worked for me is to start tacking IMMEDIATELY with Aerith, that seemed to be the easiest and effective strat for me. One attack round from Aerith and then Tifa and I was able to safely Arcane Ward and do the rest normally. For Yuffie I used the chocoking cape and focused Haste on her alone and did not haste the others, honestly it didn't seem to hurt the others not to have haste even with slow on round 10. With Yuffies Brumal Form combo it's just enough. Hope that helps some one out there!
Thank you this was so helpful. I was using the Doppelgänger/Quake strategy before and would get destroyed by the Tonberry King. With this method I only struggled a bit with the Duneworm but the Toneberry went down easily. I used magic focus on Tifa since I didn’t have the third magnify yet and it worked out quite well.

Finally a Strategy that works for me! Came at least as far as never. Just ran out on MP after some time^^ As some Materia aren't full level I am working on those now. Does this strategy works also for the rest of the brutal challenges? And thanks a lot!
For some stupid reason I lose too much ATB when using Brumal Form in an ATB Ward. WHat's the reason for that? I have Haste on Yuffie and all and I still can't maintain ATB.
@@Naztalgic_Memories Yeah, I'm using a build from a speed runner that's been killing it, but I saw your guide (great BTW), and I was just curious how come this ATB keeps depleting. In the speed runners guide he's using the Fuma Shuriken and has a weapon level 9 ability that drastically slows down the ATB depletion, while using Hermes, but I don't have that yet so I was wondering what you were doing. Speed Demon Keychain is probably the trick. Will try that soon. Thank you.
@@joke312 The only thing I can think of they are dodging attacks to refund ATB or they have both Arcane and ATB Ward on top of each other. Even with Level 9 Weapon you will eventually run dry of ATB without Speed Demon Keychain. Thank you, I'm glad you think so!

@@Naztalgic_Memories I did it! Used different techniques from different videos. Cloud/Rune Sword, Aerith/Plumose Rod and Barret/Battle Cry. Used Cloud and Aerith to nuke everything with Firaga, Aerith with Genji gloves. Cloud and Barret with Karmic Cowls. Cloud with Magic Pot, ect... Barret was good to tank hits and replenish ATB using Steel skin/ Life Saver ect. I also took the advice from another video to stay away from King Tonberry as much as possible and just nuke Joker and it worked!!!

Thanks for the guide! I got wiped the first time i got to round 10 because I didn't cast haste on yuffie. I decided to cast haste on her the 2nd time and it worked pretty well
it seems like a doable build imo, I'm going to try it out tonight, it's amazing how much flexibility this combat system is huh, I didn't know that having multiple fire materia linked to multiple blue materias increased the overall effectiveness of just one spell
It is doable Juan! I beat this challenge 20 times to iron out any kinks before releasing it! Right? I love games that allow multiple builds because it keeps the game fresh and fun!

Great strategy, although since I didn’t have the 3rd magnify, I did some tweaking to your build, instead of using 2 luck ups I put a Revive and healing material just in case in order to heal Yuffie, and I also equipped her with the Safety Bit because the Tomberry killing blow was annoying, and it worked!! I obviously had to do a few more attacks with Yuffie to build ATB but it all ended up well, thanks!! Now up to the next challenge!

I did it 😭😭😭😭 for anyone struggling out there, it’s possible. I won’t disclose how many hours I put in to this one challenge but what I will say is there’s a finger dexterity component to how fast you lay your combo up and also making sure you don’t misclick or waste any time. Every second counted especially on the tougher bouts. Keep an eye on the menu and familiarize yourself with each button until it’s muscle memory. Cheers and thanks for the video brother!
The enemies have gotten harder so they expect a quicker execution! If you get more attempts in and nothing changes then perhaps another strategy out there will help you get the kill Elliot. I wish you the best of luck 🙏

This is such bull****. Square owes us all so many hours of our lives back. This is my 3rd guide, and I still can't win. Closest I got was Aeriths quake spam strat, got to round 8. I tried that Cait stop strat but I couldn't even beat round 1 (can't beat round 1 with yours either, the AI kill aerith and tifa around the time it's time for Tifa to use Firaga) It's not your fault. Square just doesn't understand what challenge means.

Took me a lot of grinding for AP on the materias and then a few turns to complete, as Round 7 gave me issues, so I made sure to let the team run around before doing the combo with blizzard! Before this guide I was stuck on it for two days 😅 Does this combo work on everything in the game?

Another great video/build! Are you sure the haste is necessary here? Keeping in mind there's no 3rd Magnify if you haven't cleared this yet, so it's only going on Yuffie. For the last fight I decided to use my 2 ATB on Stopping both Joker and Toberry, since it has no aoe, then I didn't think I could afford to wait to cast haste on Yuffie so I just did the combo with the debuff. The atb still fills up crazy fast even with the debuff. Thanks for this, looking forward for the Seventh Seal!
I had two runs fail because the Tonberry shanked Aerith/Tifa so that's why I used Stop. If you were able to do it then it's possible! I just was trying to get a close to 100% success rate strategy And yeah I totally forgot where the third Magnify was from! I'm glad you think so Stom! Working on them!
Howdy, ive tried a few different cheese methods ive seen online including yours and i think the most recent patch for fixing the ultimate party animal quest has done other things. I think basic enemy ai or behaviour has been tweaked. I dont have anything specific but they seem to spread out or change up and bull characters. In other set ups i was using quakga and could routinely get to round 10 but now can't. I could just be in my head but i dont think it is
I recently cleared these challenges for a someone after the patch and the strategy still worked. I'll look into it when I'm done with Sephiroth's Legendary Challenge!

Dude these challenges are nuts. I have definitely improved with your guide, but honesty 'm still having so much trouble. I get unlucky with the worms a lot, and i die, or if i make it past them, i can never get the timing right for the final battle. Either my stop runs out too quickly or i have 0 atb and it takes too long to get it back for the double haste. What am i doing wrong??
@Naztalgic_Memories I probably do need repetition but I wish I didn't have to go through 9 other rounds to get the practice 😅. I am throwing weapons with yuffie but im not building atb fast. I dont have my complete folio and my team is only at level 8. Also not all my materia is maxed. Most are or are only like 1 level away from max. I also don't have the strength/magic swap materia for tifa. Not sure how important that is. I was thinking I could maybe swap her for cloud for some survival. What do you think?
@@movses89 Swapping Cloud for Tifa is fine! The materia levels do matter though as it could be enough to kill in one hit or two hits. The latter being bad because it opens the window of error to happen more often! I have a guide on my channel I used to level my materias in an hour if you'd like! Best of luck 🙏

@@Naztalgic_MemoriesI found out while doing some AP grinding that apparently the way it works is like this: The level of the materia you have linked to a blue materia determines which spells will be affected by it. So for example, if you have a level 3 fire materia linked to mp absorb, a level 2 fire materia linked to magnify, and a level 1 linked to hp absorb, you'll have mp absorb on all 3 spells, but only be able to magnify fire and fira, and only get hp absorb on fire. So you will want them all maxed if you want all the effects on the highest level spell.
I've managed every battle & VR challenge until now without a guide, just trial, error & materia re-arranging. After a few attempts I just couldn't be bothered with it anymore. So I had to cave in, found this guide & passed it first try. Not as smooth as you, and someone died a couple times- but I still got through the rounds because the majority of the work was already done before they died. Thanks much! (Also, thanks to the other guy for suggesting to take Magnify off Aerith & give it to Yuffie). I do have a question though. Why put Steal on Yuffie? You said "Specific Situations", but I'm just wandering what those are? I don't recall you using it & I know I didn't.

I totally forgot where the third Magnify was from! 😅 Steal was used in my early strategy but in the final iteration of it, I didn't end up using Mug as I did when I first started. It's just there cause she doesn't need anything else!
@@Naztalgic_Memories I see, thanks. Managed to get past Seventh Seal on my second try. First try I got to the Gigaworm & Deathclaw, round 8, but died. Unfortunately, I had to change my normal party from Barret to Yuffie. Yuffie is just equal or superior in almost every way. Built in elemental attacks. Built in Dodge mechanic. Sustained damage. Only thing Barrett has that Yuffie don’t is more health & tankiness. But if you aren’t getting hit (Brumal Form)- who needs that health & tankiness Barrett offers?

It's probably a troll but on the off chance it's not, the recent update seems to have done minor things to enemy ai. They behave slightly differently and many cheese strats, while still good don't seem to work as well.
@BigZ0830 what's your problem exactly? I've found that what starting direction you move you character at the start of battle makes tge enemy move differently and therefore changes their whole ai sequence

I open the command menu in the middle of Brumal Form where she has invincibility frames. This strategy may be too fast and requires to much APM for you Nor! I suggest checking out other guides. Best of luck!

These damn challenges always have like that one stage with some busted ass enemies. King Zu, Sandworms, Savage Grandhorn. They have binding and insta kill move. What a load of shit!
atb boost and some commands in this game have been rather defective at best, atb boot not working can ruin a round fast... they just keep flinching a block with no boost and I'm dead...
So, do you think the previous bouts setup of tifa/aerith magic is doable maybe? Where if instead of quaga, aerith has firaga and both tifa and aerith open with massive firagas? That was such a nice attack setup, this just seems like there's more to go wrong especially not being to good as using yuffie. Any other ways to simplify this Naz? Thanks
It's doable Hitman! The problem is the team only has a 30% success rate. The weakness that team has that you never saw until now is ATB generation! The enemies on the prior floor died so quickly because their HP Pool wasn't that big. This challenge not only doubles the enemies HP Pool but you need to generate ATB fast or you'll fail with deaths! I wouldn't have swapped the teams and strategy if the other one was still good!

Without the 3rd magnify this is awful. Like not having haste on eveyeone is hurting things a bit. I'm getting destroyed before even things play out.. This is just the worst shit ever like I platted bloodborne, beat all souls games, play elden ring, good healthy challenge.... This is absurd. It's so annoying and I'm no where on these

Great guide, even with the magnify - time mistake. In my run the Tonberry and Joker took Yuffie down to 200 health which had me worried, but as soon as the combo popped off it was over. Thanks.

With similar strategy and some tweaks in element used, the 3 girls of chaos can also win The seventh seal under 6 minutes. I used Wind on Tifa and Ice on Aerith.

Thanks for the guide, it was a lil tricky getting down at first (was getting my a handed to me in the first few rounds) but once you do the fights are easy. Note some fights might have to go off script a bit but nothing to bad. Also for round 7 I find it helpful to stop the worms right off then haste and build up, I find it give Tifa enough time to get 2 atb to hold in reserve for when yuffie gets eaten

So was trying the way you said in the comments regarding the missing third magnifying materia and I just couldn't get it to work without the aoe stop, so just my 2 cents here. As soon as I swapped the magnify to the aoe haste/Stop instead of the firaga on Tifa I cleared it. So if yall are struggling like I did for several hours. Swap the materia just so u can kill the last boss couse without it it's very scetchy. Great guide all in all though well done.

Also if you lack the 3rd Magnify, cast acarne ward on Aerith herself instead. Use Tifa to hit the most dangerous target and Aerith wipes the area. I manage to use this strategy to win with 5 Fire materials, no Genji, and no Fury ring. Great strat, mate.
For the 2 worms i recommend aerith ATB Boost on Yuffie, then Magnify STOP as this gives you more time to set up, Throw Yuffies weapon and build 1 bar, then Magnify Haste, then basic attack until you can brumal form, then use the usual rotation from here. That allowed me more consistently get past this battle. i found that i was getting Aerith and Tifa Swallowed quite frequently before i could finish the setup.

I dont know if the update changed something, but while i have control of Yuffie, they charge and kill Aerith and Tifa. By the time they have two bars, they are in the red. This has happened 12 strait attempts.
That sounds terrible Phoenix! I know that happened when I was testing it but not as frequent. I'll have to look into it!
May not be the same as me, but I realized the fire materia I had linked to hp absorb was underleveled so firaga was not replenishing hp, so if Tifa and Aerith are dying too fast that could be the issue

I keep getting screwed by the white mousse becoming immune to fire after the first firaga. I’m setting it all up the same with the atb ward on Tifa but firage doesn’t stagger it for me. All characters level 70 and entire set up the same other than the third magnify. What am I missing? Is it just a matter of not getting it quick enough or something?
Assuming you have the exact materia at max levels, weapons and accessories then I don't know. I cleared this 20+ times before releasing the guide and I didn't come across that issue.

you forgot that you only obtain a 3rd magnify materia after you complete this hellion challenge. So you either have to remove the magnify effect from time or the fire materias of tifa or aerith. what would you recommend in this situation?
You're right! I forgot where I got the third one. The Magnify on Yuffie isn't that important. For Round 10 use Haste first then Stop the Tonberry. Haste Yuffie again then do the combo. You'll just need to keep an eye out on the Joker and dodge his red attacks if he targets you!

you are using 3 magnify in this build, but keep in mind that you get the 3rd one from this challenge. Considering tifa will be the one using the most spells, put one on her one on yuffie for the time materia i guess.
Yeah I forgot where I got it! Yuffie's Magnify isn't that impactful. You'll only notice it on Round 10. Just single Target Stop the Tonberry and watch out for the Joker's Attack!

Ohhh those! Yeah I just used the Hard Mode Build I have on the channel with Aerith carrying Barret and Red 13 while Tifa and Cloud paired up with Yuffie and got the win. I literally had 0 Materia on Barret, Red 13 or Yuffie! I'll go optimize those when I am done here! @@alexlopez-dk4jq

Made some modifications for survivability when things go wrong. Mainly revive and sacrificing some magic power for more vitality. Eventually managed to get it done. thanks! I used magnify on yuffie for haste/stop and Tifa for firaga. Aerith doesnt really need it as her job is to set wards. By the time the engine is in motion, tifa is nuking and aerith can join in with single target firaga after.

I only have 2 Magnify materia. There are only 3 in the game, right? I think the third one is obtained from winning completing this challenge. There's one Magnify in Chapter 1 when you're with Sephiroth, but I think you don't get to keep that one.

Another guide and another clear for me thank you! I will say though for this one round 3 gave me trouble because Ying kept awakening and not Yang first, so I could not follow the guide for that but finally the RNG was on my side and Yang awoke first and I was able to clear it all in one go. For people stuck with the worms what worked for me is to start tacking IMMEDIATELY with Aerith, that seemed to be the easiest and effective strat for me. One attack round from Aerith and then Tifa and I was able to safely Arcane Ward and do the rest normally. For Yuffie I used the chocoking cape and focused Haste on her alone and did not haste the others, honestly it didn't seem to hurt the others not to have haste even with slow on round 10. With Yuffies Brumal Form combo it's just enough. Hope that helps some one out there!

Thank you this was so helpful. I was using the Doppelgänger/Quake strategy before and would get destroyed by the Tonberry King. With this method I only struggled a bit with the Duneworm but the Toneberry went down easily. I used magic focus on Tifa since I didn’t have the third magnify yet and it worked out quite well.

The Magnify on Yuffie isn't that important. For Round 10 use Haste first then Stop the Tonberry. Haste Yuffie again then do the combo. You'll just need to keep an eye out on the Joker and dodge his red attacks if he targets you! Or you can remove Aerith's Magnify and give it to Yuffie!

For some stupid reason I lose too much ATB when using Brumal Form in an ATB Ward. WHat's the reason for that? I have Haste on Yuffie and all and I still can't maintain ATB.

In the speed runners guide he's using the Fuma Shuriken and has a weapon level 9 ability that drastically slows down the ATB depletion, while using Hermes, but I don't have that yet so I was wondering what you were doing. Speed Demon Keychain is probably the trick. Will try that soon. Thank you.
@@joke312 The only thing I can think of they are dodging attacks to refund ATB or they have both Arcane and ATB Ward on top of each other. Even with Level 9 Weapon you will eventually run dry of ATB without Speed Demon Keychain.

@@Naztalgic_Memories I did it! Used different techniques from different videos. Cloud/Rune Sword, Aerith/Plumose Rod and Barret/Battle Cry. Used Cloud and Aerith to nuke everything with Firaga, Aerith with Genji gloves. Cloud and Barret with Karmic Cowls. Cloud with Magic Pot, ect... Barret was good to tank hits and replenish ATB using Steel skin/ Life Saver ect. I also took the advice from another video to stay away from King Tonberry as much as possible and just nuke Joker and it worked!!!

A handful of enemies doesn't make the game bad. You just need to approach them differently than others!

it seems like a doable build imo, I'm going to try it out tonight, it's amazing how much flexibility this combat system is huh, I didn't know that having multiple fire materia linked to multiple blue materias increased the overall effectiveness of just one spell

Great strategy, although since I didn’t have the 3rd magnify, I did some tweaking to your build, instead of using 2 luck ups I put a Revive and healing material just in case in order to heal Yuffie, and I also equipped her with the Safety Bit because the Tomberry killing blow was annoying, and it worked!! I obviously had to do a few more attacks with Yuffie to build ATB but it all ended up well, thanks!! Now up to the next challenge!

I did it 😭😭😭😭 for anyone struggling out there, it’s possible. I won’t disclose how many hours I put in to this one challenge but what I will say is there’s a finger dexterity component to how fast you lay your combo up and also making sure you don’t misclick or waste any time. Every second counted especially on the tougher bouts. Keep an eye on the menu and familiarize yourself with each button until it’s muscle memory. Cheers and thanks for the video brother!

I keep trying this but it just seems too reliant on perfect timing to make it work. With no revive or heal they just get trashed.

This is my 3rd guide, and I still can't win. Closest I got was Aeriths quake spam strat, got to round 8. I tried that Cait stop strat but I couldn't even beat round 1 (can't beat round 1 with yours either, the AI kill aerith and tifa around the time it's time for Tifa to use Firaga)

Another great video/build! Are you sure the haste is necessary here? Keeping in mind there's no 3rd Magnify if you haven't cleared this yet, so it's only going on Yuffie. For the last fight I decided to use my 2 ATB on Stopping both Joker and Toberry, since it has no aoe, then I didn't think I could afford to wait to cast haste on Yuffie so I just did the combo with the debuff. The atb still fills up crazy fast even with the debuff.

I had two runs fail because the Tonberry shanked Aerith/Tifa so that's why I used Stop. If you were able to do it then it's possible! I just was trying to get a close to 100% success rate strategy

Howdy, ive tried a few different cheese methods ive seen online including yours and i think the most recent patch for fixing the ultimate party animal quest has done other things. I think basic enemy ai or behaviour has been tweaked. I dont have anything specific but they seem to spread out or change up and bull characters. In other set ups i was using quakga and could routinely get to round 10 but now can't. I could just be in my head but i dont think it is
I recently cleared these challenges for a someone after the patch and the strategy still worked. I'll look into it when I'm done with Sephiroth's Legendary Challenge!
Is there some instant death thing in round 3? I never see what kills me. Full health and 1 second later all are dead.
Sounds like you're not killing Yin and Yang. He does a suicide attack when its HP gets low!

Dude these challenges are nuts. I have definitely improved with your guide, but honesty 'm still having so much trouble. I get unlucky with the worms a lot, and i die, or if i make it past them, i can never get the timing right for the final battle. Either my stop runs out too quickly or i have 0 atb and it takes too long to get it back for the double haste. What am i doing wrong??
You're throwing your weapon and using Basic Attacks with Yuffie? If so then you may just need a little repetition to do the combo faster Movses!
@Naztalgic_Memories I probably do need repetition but I wish I didn't have to go through 9 other rounds to get the practice 😅. I am throwing weapons with yuffie but im not building atb fast. I dont have my complete folio and my team is only at level 8. Also not all my materia is maxed. Most are or are only like 1 level away from max. I also don't have the strength/magic swap materia for tifa. Not sure how important that is. I was thinking I could maybe swap her for cloud for some survival. What do you think?
@@movses89 Swapping Cloud for Tifa is fine! The materia levels do matter though as it could be enough to kill in one hit or two hits. The latter being bad because it opens the window of error to happen more often! I have a guide on my channel I used to level my materias in an hour if you'd like! Best of luck 🙏

That's a good question Funko! I'm not sure considering I leveled up all my materia within an hour using this guide on my channel! Since Fire only has two levels that should take 10 minutes tops!

@@Naztalgic_MemoriesI found out while doing some AP grinding that apparently the way it works is like this: The level of the materia you have linked to a blue materia determines which spells will be affected by it. So for example, if you have a level 3 fire materia linked to mp absorb, a level 2 fire materia linked to magnify, and a level 1 linked to hp absorb, you'll have mp absorb on all 3 spells, but only be able to magnify fire and fira, and only get hp absorb on fire. So you will want them all maxed if you want all the effects on the highest level spell.

I've managed every battle & VR challenge until now without a guide, just trial, error & materia re-arranging. After a few attempts I just couldn't be bothered with it anymore. So I had to cave in, found this guide & passed it first try.
Not as smooth as you, and someone died a couple times- but I still got through the rounds because the majority of the work was already done before they died. Thanks much!

Steal was used in my early strategy but in the final iteration of it, I didn't end up using Mug as I did when I first started. It's just there cause she doesn't need anything else!

First try I got to the Gigaworm & Deathclaw, round 8, but died.
Unfortunately, I had to change my normal party from Barret to Yuffie. Yuffie is just equal or superior in almost every way. Built in elemental attacks. Built in Dodge mechanic. Sustained damage. I am so curious on how they will improve upon them in part three and how the new characters will compete with the existing roster. It'll be so hard to just use three!

It's probably a troll but on the off chance it's not, the recent update seems to have done minor things to enemy ai. They behave slightly differently and many cheese strats, while still good don't seem to work as well.

@BigZ0830 what's your problem exactly? I've found that what starting direction you move you character at the start of battle makes tge enemy move differently and therefore changes their whole ai sequence

I open the command menu in the middle of Brumal Form where she has invincibility frames.
This strategy may be too fast and requires to much APM for you Nor! I suggest checking out other guides. Best of luck!

@Naztalgic_Memories that being said. Struggling to make this work with only the 2 magnify, got to round 9 with cloud tifa and yuffie using magnify on quakega . Any altered tips based on a 2x magnify limit

You can either use Haste first then Stop the Tonberry. Haste Yuffie again then do the combo. You'll just need to keep an eye out on the Joker and dodge his red attacks if he targets you!
Or take away Aerith's Magnify and give it to Yuffie!
These damn challenges always have like that one stage with some busted ass enemies. King Zu, Sandworms, Savage Grandhorn. They have binding and insta kill move. What a load of shit!

atb boost and some commands in this game have been rather defective at best, atb boot not working can ruin a round fast... they just keep flinching a block with no boost and I'm dead...

So, do you think the previous bouts setup of tifa/aerith magic is doable maybe? Where if instead of quaga, aerith has firaga and both tifa and aerith open with massive firagas?
That was such a nice attack setup, this just seems like there's more to go wrong especially not being to good as using yuffie. Any other ways to simplify this Naz? Thanks
It's doable Hitman! The problem is the team only has a 30% success rate. The weakness that team has that you never saw until now is ATB generation! The enemies on the prior floor died so quickly because their HP Pool wasn't that big.
This challenge not only doubles the enemies HP Pool but you need to generate ATB fast or you'll fail with deaths! I wouldn't have swapped the teams and strategy if the other one was still good!

Without the 3rd magnify this is awful. Like not having haste on eveyeone is hurting things a bit. I'm getting destroyed before even things play out..
This is just the worst shit ever like I platted bloodborne, beat all souls games, play elden ring, good healthy challenge.... This is absurd. It's so annoying and I'm no where on these
