I grew up in Mt.Vernon a long time ago (1960's) and after watching this video I now understand why we have 0 comments and only 4 likes. Mt. Vernon is only a shell of what it was and employment is almost gone entirely if you are seeking a career opportunity. I do not go back anymore because it is so sad what has happened to a once great city. Goodbye Mt. Vernon........

I’m 19 and currently live in and I’m from this city.. mount Vernon is a sad place but if you are one to open your mind you can find the beauty in the city and the history

I've lived in MV most of my life and small towns are great to live in, but I've worked in Columbus since the mid 80's because that's where the jobs are.

I grew up in Mt Vernon in the 60's and 70's. It wasn't exciting but it had an appeal. My family left when PPG did. Maybe one day I will come home.

Mount Vernon is progressing. Not many big name stores or restaurants and lots of potential. I hope Intel helps.
