150 years after the Great Famine, we can see that Ireland has more than recovered! What a celebration of persistence, endurance, and love of life! And now, 24 years on, with the Chieftains’ most recent loss of Paddy Moloney, we celebrate his life of trad music mastery and leadership, as well as all the lives of the Chieftains and the Corrs!!! Thank you all, and Paddy, RIP.

I was at this concert, it was a part of the commemorations that took place all over Ireland in respect of the 150th anniversary of the Great Famine. Fantastic night, Mill Street !997
what I like about Irish music is the musicians always look like they are having a good time and enjoying themselves. being of Irish descent, I'd like to get over there soon to experience the country and people
The Corrs make me happy when I'm sad and they make laugh when I'm angry but most of all they make me rejoice for the music that covers the landscape when I travel. Their talent is a blessing.
I suddenly feel sad and sentimental. Everyone playing looked so young, so joyous, and so full of energy. As Sandy Denny once wrote and sung "who knows where time goes" is exactly what I am feeling listening to these wonderful performers.

Her whistle playing is better than her sister’s “fiddle” playing which is so plain and “classical.” But to each their own. That’s my opinion. It was the Corrs who first inspired me to learn the whistle and fiddle. Unfortunately Andrea Corr likes playing those $3 Walton’s whistle things. I bought some in 2001 and they were downright unplayable. In this video she’s playing what appears to be a Generation nickel whistle. They’re slightly better than Walton’s but hit or miss. I can only imagine the Corrs’ music if she had a finer instrument! There is definitely something to be said for cheaper instruments; my favorite whistle right now is an Oak D. But that was a lucky buy! I’d sooner purchase an Oak over a Generation; I’d sooner purchase a Generation over a Feadog. And I’d buy a feadog and never a Walton’s. Nope
I grew up in an Ireland and in primary school, it was compulsory to learn how to play the Tin Whistle. It's a very squeaky whistle, no matter how much you practice. It's hard to master, and even those who have aren't ever 'perfect', but that's the joys of irish music. It's not meant to be pure perfection, it's meant to be fun, cheerful and upbeat 😊

The Chieftans are fantastic, the music is fantastic, and the Corrs - they are so beautiful. I play Bodhran, but could hardly watch it becasue of that beautiful young lady. Wish she would hold me so close! ten out of five
