- What would happen if the Pokemon actually used their Psychic Powers in battle? Telekinesis seem a little OP for a fighting game. Why battle your opponent when you can just YEET them?

I have always thought that was funny, when psychic poke'mon attack it's more of a energy ball like most all other attacks. Yet, in the show, they make clear that psychic types can move objects. Psychic should be crazy OP.
funny thing is in gen 1 they actually were crazy OP and they added dark type and expanded ghost type specifically to mitigate them. a lot of new types were specifically for mitigating another type from a previous gen

@Cirrus yes but steel types always had atleast one type weakness and never nulled by type combos like certain other types

Well dark types are immune to this power, like 0 effect or damage.
see if it was delphox instead of braixen in this game, it would raise the game to an M rating from how much bloodshed she'd cause

You know what's even more funny about this: Braixen isn't even a psychic type.
Also, this is actually kinda accurate to an extent. Braixen is the "Akuma" of Pokken - strong offense, strong projectile game, can play rushdown or keepaway at will and thus can dictate the pace of a match, but has difficulty recovering from a disadvantage state.
I mean, it can learn a couple Psychic moves so that's good enough.
The whole line is pretty much psychic from the get go just not official until the last stage, but fenikin and Braixen both can learn many psychic type moves

They can, but only Delphox gets STAB with them and has the built-in resistances to Fighting and Poison and weaknesses to Dark and Ghost (and technically Bug, but that gets canceled out by its Fire typing). Fennekin and Braixen are a bit like Psyduck and Golduck in this regard - technically psychic but it's not prominent enough for them to actually be that type.

Psychic is strong against ghost. dark types are the ones immune to psychic attacks

Ignoring the fact type matchups don’t matter in Pokken, Fire (Braixen’s Actual only Type) moves are neutral to Darkrai and Mewtwo, and Psychic is neutral against Chandelure.

Ok, but Braixen is not a psychic type, not even a duel type, it's just a fire type. You could have given this op role to Mewtwo or Gardevoir and it would have made more sense.
braixen not being a psychic type is why they didn't dare break the game balance by adding delphox
Yeah, but could you imagine how unfair all the Ghost-types could be if they also wanted to?
If, as another proposed, triple types were allowed, and Delphox became a fire/psychic/fairy type, then I think Braixen could become a fire/psychic type; although fire/fairy may make slightly more sense.

So I know Delphox is Fire/Psychic, but I thought Braixen was too bc I first saw one using Psychic abilities in a comic, but I looked up Bulbapedia and apparently Braixen is just Fire. Why’s everyone gotta confuse me so much?
