Im watching this with my own pair of iO-12. Very impressive indeed. I replaced my bathys with them. My only gripe is how tight they pinch my head. Even tighter than the bathys and these are pretty tight already. I wish manufacturers would give you the choice of « small medium large » heads. How hard can it be. Other than that, no competition out there, these are the world’s very best Bluetooth headphones.
T&A T’s belong and should be priced at around the Focal Bathys price point ($7-800). At twice that price, they are so overpriced it’s almost comical. T&A is a niche boutique company with extremely overpriced products that don’t justify their prices other than owning something that none of your friends has heard off. Listening to the iO-12 is a revelatory experience. It is like listening to the instrumental version of a song, with the artist actually singing over it in front of you. It is something I never experienced before with a pair of headphones. These headphones don’t need any gimmicky app. They just are that good. Same as my McIntosh amplifier. It doesn’t need any gimmicky equalizing app or eq buttons. It is perfect as is. These are audiophile headphones for people who want the best sound, as it was intended by the artist.
@Realdjheisenberg £300 extra for the Solitaires in the UK for me. Worth every penny. I also own the Focal Utopia 22 and the Stellia previously, so I know what great sound is. Enjoy the Dalis, despite your discomfort! 😏
@@mobill49it is depressing to think that my large head is the reason I can’t truly enjoy headphones… why can’t manufacturers offer different sizes? Clothing companies figured that one out centuries ago…!
I think the primary use for these might be as wired headphones that can also do Bluetooth when needed. I don't think they were meant (and tuned) for airplane usage (Sony XM5, B&W Px8, etc), or home use (Sol T, 5909, Bathys, etc.). The app omission is a big mistake in the BT world (settings, prefs, updates). Questions, wishes: LDAC support? BT sound vs wired? Sound vs. TA Sol T and 5909? Ear pads replaceability and availability (eventually take them off, show the attachment mechanism, and those drivers). Comparison with electrostatics (now you have to compare everything with the HE1...). But do anything you wish: all reviews have been consistent and informative.
They are too big to be used during commutes or while travelling (the huge carrying case is not practical at all). Wireless that can't be taken outside sounds like a missed opportunity for these beautiful headphones. I also think aptX Lossless should be included at the end of 2023 for €1K.
Well I just bought them 2 weeks back and have used them over flights with little to no issues (infact with just half the volume as the passive and active isolation together are good enough). I used Sony Xm5s before and these do not feel too heavy over them. Even I thought not having an app is an issue, but they are just so good I don’t think I need any? The hifi and bass mode are well done and enough imo. Codec support wise, they do not have LDAC. But these are a weird set of headphones, they make even the lossy codecs sound good? If that makes sense - I have heard other people say the same.
Need the full review man 😃 been saving up for some high end Bluetooth headphones for ages and definitely considering these. Keep up the good content man 😅
So look forward to your reviews. I sold my focal Battys because of you and I agreed with your review of them. I replaced them eventually with Bowers and Wilkins PX 8, and I love them. These Dalis' look good too. Can't wait to see your review. Have a lovely Christmas
I just read about them. EXPENSIVE. $1300 US. No companion App. Just a bass boost button and USB A to USB C cable. I'm sure they sound fine, maybe even great. But for even more than my B&W Px8, I certainly couldn't justify spending so MUCH more on these puppies, which are missing some very key features one would expect in this price point.

Really? That’s quite the statement! T&A Solitaire T exists.

I am watching from my io12 as well. No competition in terms of sq for wireless HP. Albeit unlucky with some build issues.

@@ARC87 I cannot disagree... A lot of missed opportunities here.
Are they bigger than the Airpods Max?
You dont understand the view of the creator maybe you should buy beats 🎧

I would love to have these but they’re 1700 here in Canada 🇨🇦
Is it true that the headband can't be adjusted? I'm concerned they are fixed and won't fit. Thanks Opaz.
Not fixed and flexible ! 👋🤠
do the Dali sounds louder than the Solitaire, at the same volume level?!
Thank you so much, I'm enjoying of the mine from 5 days ago 👍👍👍👍👍
