I have enjoyed your add-ins for the christmas SAL even though I wasn't stitching! Thanks for the free pattern, it will help me get into your patterns - in a smaller scale. I did purchase the 2024 SAL pattern; maybe I"ll be encouraged to actually stitch along with you and the other MFE stitchers. I agree with you about how great Caroline and Kerri are!

I've plodded on though and have repeated the mistake on the other side haha! The SAL is quite tricky though to get away with a big mistake... I just love your little birds. Have bought a few and am working my way through them. Currently on Fraktur Hex Cushion that I'm about a quarter way through. Thank you for the free pattern. Merry Christmas, Jacob! I'm writing this in the late afternoon on Xmas Day; my family has left for their homes. I gave my son "Here Be Dragons" for Xmas -- he was delighted with the piece and quite taken with the stitching and the "reverse" stitching in the border. It was the second of your pieces I've done -- the first being the sweet little "Summer Bower" -- and I'm looking forward to more. I've kitted up the "Remember Me" Vierlandese (sp?) sampler with Roxy Floss Co floss in the special colour-way so that will be next but "A Quilter's Dream" is on my wish list for the future as I am a quilter as well as a knitter and stitcher. Thanks for all you do and all the best in 2024 -- from western Canada. 😊

My mum had one by Ann Atkinson aged 12 dated what looks like 1644 but probably 1844. She sold it at auction in the 80s I think. I wish I had kept it now. Merry Christmas, Jacob! I'm writing this in the late afternoon on Xmas Day; my family has left for their homes. I gave my son "Here Be Dragons" for Xmas -- he was delighted with the piece and quite taken with the stitching and the "reverse" stitching in the border. It was the second of your pieces I've done -- the first being the sweet little "Summer Bower" -- and I'm looking forward to more. I've kitted up the "Remember Me" Vierlandese (sp?) sampler with Roxy Floss Co floss in the special colour-way so that will be next but "A Quilter's Dream" is on my wish list for the future as I am a quilter as well as a knitter and stitcher. Thanks for all you do and all the best in 2024 -- from western Canada. 😊

Thank you Jacob for your generosity. I have finished Birds in Winter and have just downloaded 2 other freebies . I love Samplers and your talks about the history of them. My mum had one by Ann Atkinson aged 12 dated what looks like 1644 but probably 1844. She sold it at auction in the 80s I think. I wish I had kept it now. Hiya! Oh that is so lovely to read! Well, there's "Here Be Dragons" which isn't huge huge but still bigger than a tiny pincushion... and it might fit into your love of dragons! :). Hope that helps a little!
