Wow, that's a disturbing story! Being from the United States, where sadly there are news reports about violent crimes much too frequently, I always thought of Sweden and Northern Europe as some utopia where these things don't happen. Goes to show there can be bad people hiding anywhere. Would be interesting to compare crime rates in Sweden versus other countries, as well as which types of crimes are more common in different countries. I'm in for more true crime stories, but hopefully they're all solved cases - those unsolved mysteries where the killer is still out there freak me out.

The Ultimate Serial Killers are Adolph Rudolph Hitler who killed 6,000,000 Jews,Gypsies,Slavs and Gays and Lesbians (Who wore Pink Triangles on their uniforms) between 1933-1945 and Russian Czar Josef Stalin who killed over 20,000,000 Russians and Ukrainians between 1924-1953.

@@MichaelLantz Indeed. The endless examples of human's inhumanity towards fellow humans, not to mention nature and the environment, from ancient times right up to today is truly staggering. What keeps me going are the examples that show the good in humanity and prove that it's just a small few responsible for such atrocities.

Väldigt intressant! Visste inte om detta. Men nästa gång så kan du prata om Hilda Nilsson, ”änglamakerskan på bruksgatan” som hon också kallades. Riktigt hemsk historia där.

Thank you for sharing this story. Being in a different continent, I would have never heard of it. All crimes are awful but crimes against children and elderly people are particularly heinous. You are a great storyteller. I’m a senior and enjoy your channel. 💗

That story is nauseating and infuriating 🤢🤬 it's always so strange hearing stories from the past where people just let toddlers hang around by themselves. It sounds like a different planet.
I know this is ALWAYS only me, but when you said, "his grandmother was his only friend" I also felt immediately bad for that abstracted person. Of course not justifying terrible behavior, but describing that person outside of the larger story is also sad. It's annoying, but I basically feel bad for all the human brains that have to wander around this place.😄 Fucking "bleeding heart" empathy is an irritating liability in this world. 🙃 I love this and I'm glad you went through with it ✌️

If society could’ve/would’ve helped him then maybe this wouldn’t have happened. I understand what you mean. It’s terrible that it even happened and it’s so heartbreaking when such young children are harmed... 💔

Wow how absolutely terrible! I remember I was a child in Stockholm in 1962 and was 7. I remember a few sick experiences that my sister and I had while we were playing in the playground of the apartment building we lived in. We witnessed men exposing themselves under the influence of "spreet". Gross. We were so lucky that we were never victimized by these men other than their exposing themselves.

Didn't think there was much. Thought they made it all up. Olof Palme's assassination was quite shocking though. For its time.

I have to admit, i voted "no" on wether you should start doing true crime. Here's why: To me, many of the true crime stories out there have a certain touch of pure morbid curiosity. I get that people are attracted by horror and gruesome stories, but if people want to "enjoy" crime stories, they can read crime novels. The problem i have with true crime is that whenever i come across those stories, i have to think of the victims and their relatives - i bet it doesn't feel to great to constantly be reminded of what happened...
However, there is some true crime out there, which focusses more on the investigation side of things and tells interesting things about police work. In that case, i can get behind it :D
But that's just my two cents :)

It is not like they send those videos to the relatives of the victim so i don't think u have a good point here.

Wow This was weird... unsubscribed your channel 3 weeks ago and found this story in line up of suggestions. Been mostly concerned with political activities and crime in America. Algorithms really Stretched the data to put this in line. Weird to see you cover such a “Not your Usual” subject matter. Interesting thanks for sharing. Hope Stanley is well as are your classes. Aloha.
