"There are no small gigs." Now I know how to approach my gigs, just me and playing with something off UA-cam, just me. There are no small gigs. It's important practice, important groundwork for when maybe I do play a nursing home. Also, about trusting myself with technique.

When I heard Ron play "Unit 7" and "I Love You More Than You Will Ever Know" with Blood, Sweat & Tears- live in Ottawa (1972?) CD- he just blew me away on exceptional Fender bass. Later, I read how Jaco Pastorius spoke highly of Ron. It confirmed to me, that Ron McClure was tasteful and powerful in his choice of notes and ideas. Thx for posting this wonderful interview. Ron is highly quotable, here.
