In my twenties, I was all about buying only bags and shoes. Now in my thirties, I am putting my money into fine jewelry. I appreciate the quality of VCA and Cartier pieces every time I look at them. VCA do the prettiest chains 🥰 I love the sweets.

Jewelry are indeed the finishing touch that elevate an outfit. Thank you for sharing your collection. It took me a long time to understand my taste (mostly dainty) but also to balance my athletic long lean frame with pieces that will bring my feminine side. I own diamonds and necklace studs (unbranded), VCA frivole mini set, VCA onyx vintage alhambra, VCA vintage gold Yellow, VCA perlee signature bracelet which i stack with a one motif onyx sweet alhambra, a few cartier pieces like the Small 6 diamonds Love which works perfectly fine for my personality amulette MOP , Messika Baby move and Mauboussin (Valentine) etc. Costume jewelry are usually statement earrings from a French house : Gavilanes. you have a beautiful collection and I can't wait to get the sweet alhambra vintage in yellow gold since onyx and mop are the least used in my daily wear. Love
Hi Stephanie,, thank you so much for sharing! You have such a beautiful jewelry collection 💛 How you do find the VCA perlee bracelet? It is quite comfortable to wear?xx
Beautiful collection. I agree when it comes to diamonds. I have a couple of diamond bangles from a local jeweler who is a friend and I got a very good price for the quality. I tend to buy solitaire style diamond jewelry and I like to buy from Blue Niles. I get to pick the stones I want and the setting I want. I picked up a solitaire diamond necklace. I picked .50 carat VVS2 quality and D in color which is colorless in Ideal cut. Which is the best cut to maximize the amount of sparkles. All stone comes with an GIA certificate and 30 days return policy no questions ask so I feel secure buying from them.
You have very refined and sophisticated taste. Unfortunately in Asia, there are so many imitations of these jewellery pieces that I wont be willing to pay full retail price for them.
I am originally from Ghana and because we mine gold there the focus is more on the karats than the brands. 24k is most preferred and Jewellry are sold by weight with options for custom pieces. I am now in Australia and find it difficult to buy brand Jewellry because mostly they are 18k or less. I just can’t justify the price
I have a pair of diamond stud earrings instead of an engagement ring! I knew a ring would sit in its box and hardly be worn so earrings were the better choice as I rarely take them out. I love the MoP VCA pieces but the vintage size. Your collection is lovely.
Lil Rockapotamus i have a diamond engagement ring and i only wear it on weddings. i even changed the 4 prong setting to a bezel thinking it would work and i could wear it more often since the 4 prong gets on my childs clothes when i carry her (im a full time housewife with a 2yr old). i think diamond engagement rings are great when you dont have little kids around
In the US, the GIA rates diamonds to help you understand the quality of the diamond on the four C's, as well as other features (like florescence). So, I don't see the need to pay the huge Tiffany premium. A quick look at the GIA certificate and 30 minutes reading up on the features of a diamond can ensure you get a great stone! So, we got my engagement from a local jeweler. In the US, the only places to definitely avoid are mall jewelery stores like Kay and Zales.
I haven’t watched your videos in too long and it’s good to be back 😌 I hadn’t done any fine jewelry dives in UA-cam that’s why 😂 But now I’m planning on getting the Sweet Alhambra 6 motif bracelet and found you again. I so love the texture on the the beautiful rose gold clovers!

Don't let go of the long necklace. Maybe you can get a shorter chain for the pendent. It looks like it's separate and you can get something less delicate for the long chain. I wish my mom would have gotten Van Cleef jewelry years ago. They are classic and will never go out of style and show that you do have style. As far as the bracelet goes, yes, your taste very well may change when you're older. I Love your videos and I am now subscribed.

I'll add that to my to do list! I've not had any problem with the zipper to be honest, it took me just a little bit to get used to it but overall no major problem xx
Great video! Your review of each piece and the reasons that they are your least or most used is very helpful in curating a collection. I still heart the Chanel classic stud earrings. Please let me know if you decide to sell them.
Such a lovely collection.😍 I really think that jewelries are one of the best investments one can have. I personally love love the VCA alhambra bracelet. And if I'm ever to own one in the future I might get either the mother of pearl (MOP) in whitegold or the alhambra in gold 😍❤

Hello, do you swim in pools or beaches with your VCA hammered gold necklace? If you do, how has your necklace held up so far? Just wanted to know how durable the necklace is as I know that exposure to chlorine is quite harmful for jewelry.
Hi Eileen, I love your videos! It would be great to know your opinion of the van cleef vintage al hambra necklace. I'm not sure if I should get the sweet or vintage size. Do you think the vintage size can be wearable everyday? Thank you xx
For me the vintage alhambra pendant is a bit too noticeable as a daily necklace. I think if you already have a simple piece for daily wear, a vintage alhambra pendant might be worth looking into xx
Hi A, just to help give you a balanced/additional view, I got the vintage and honestly from a distance it's small enough to be understated but still big enough to get equal spotlight and not disappear with your clothes, hair and accessories, a perfect size. This also depends on your size also. If you're tiny like our gorgeous Eileen then either will work but forms being size 12, the sweet will be disproportionately small and be "swallowed up".
I really enjoyed seeing your fine jewelry collection. I'm a senior and have been collecting fine jewelry for more than 40 yrs. I am allergic to many metals so have never been able to buy costume jewelry. At this point I would guess that I have 50 to 60 pieces. I agree with you that diamond studs are a wise first choise. That was the first piece of fine jewelry that I purchased. The 2nd piece was a diamond pendant, then Akoya pearl studs, Akoya pearl strand, and I don't remember what order after that. I have always tried to be very careful to select classic pieces. You have made some very good choices. Other pieces that are classic and never go out of style are bangle bracelets, hoop earrings, and the love knot earrings that were gifted to you at Christmas. I bought my love knots way back in the 70s. With the exception of one or two pieces, I think your jewelry will pass the test of time. Be careful not to get trendy, I made that mistake a few times. You are off to a great start, thank you for sharing your collection , it's beautiful.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write to me😊I really love hearing about others' collection and thoughts, so thank you so much for sharing your wonderful insights with me xx
Hi Elieen Ive watched this veideo over and over again. (I had diff interests at different times) This time I am contemplating to buy VCA 5 motifs bracelet. Do you still not reaching for hammered 5 motifs? I wonder if you still have the same thought or wear it more often now.
Hi Eileen , I noticed you have the date just rolex watch and I am wondering if you can give me the idea should I get the white one tone or two tone rolex ? Thanks
This was such a lovely video to watch. I just started uploading my videos and ordered an VCA alhambra MOP bracelet. I want to have mine resized but our city is going into lockdown tomorrow, so now I am not sure when I can get that done. 😔

Would love to ask your suggestion I am buy diamond earring stud in total 1ct very good cut in E colour and I'm mix colour jewerly which one would you go for white gold or gold setting I'm torn to white gold but other side love gold too 🤦♀️ very appropriated ❤
Great review! I’m thinking of buying the Cartier love ring (the thin version) and I’m wondering between rose gold and yellow gold. I love rose gold but I’m worried the rose gold will change its color. What would you recommend :)?
Eileen who has ur experience been w VCA’s rose gold? Does it fade slightly or the years? I just bought the gray MOP Alhambra necklace and although I love the gray mop I’m having second thought about rose gold if it’s a tad too rosy for me against my skin tone. Can’t decide rather to keep or exchange.
My most worn items are my gold Rolex Oyster and my Omega 18k gold bamboo ring; I tend to swap them them over less and less these days, and working from home doesn't help. I have a vast collection of jewellery which I have purchased over many, many years but for some reason I always tend to reach for the same thing. Maybe I have just lost my enthusiasm! I don't want to sell any of it as I enjoy looking at it (haha) and I only have a son so he is not interested in inheriting it. First world problems Eileen...........🙈😀 Lastly, the first thing to come off when I get home (after my shoes) is my jewellery. I don't feel comfortable wearing expensive jewellery around the house. Is that just me?
I try to wear my jewellery pieces as much as I can but in the house many of them come off too, those house chores are easier to do with bare hands for sure lol xx
Actually the Cartier necklaces are also very sparkly as the chain is cut with multi facets which glimmer in the light. Love my Cartier Diamant Legers necklace.
Hi Eileen, do you wear your watch fitted or loosely? I just got the same combination in yellow gold and steel, and got sa to remove 6 links. It fits snug and i like it for this watch, tho i am used to wearing my watch loosely. Would love to hear from you 😊
Hello, I'm planning to purchase a rolex same as yours to be worn on my left wrist. I also have my love bracelet on same side. Do you stack your rolex watch with your hermes bracelet?
Hi 👋🏻, I find your videos really interesting and thoughtful. You have mentioned a really interesting point with the difference of width between the cartier love ring (with and without diamond). As it is still difficult to get and try in store 😬, would you mind mesure the width difference between the two (I can’t find this information anywhere) it will really help me to make my mind about these rings before buying 😉 .... Thank you very much !!! Have a great day 😊💕💕💕
Hello Eillen, can you tell me how many grams of gold is the VCA 5 motiv braclet? I am thinking about getting one and I want to compare it to thin love and thin just un clu :)
Thank you for wonderful videos Eileen. I’ve been binge watching your channel last few days. You have a beautiful jewellery collection! How long have you owned the Hermes leather bracelets? I’ve heard gold or palladium playing can wear off over time. Did you find that to be an issue with the Hermes bracelet hardware?
Hi Fiona, all my Hermes pieces are still looking quite good. Seeing they are leather pieces, I always make sure to remove them before going into shower or to bed so they are still holding up really well xx
Colourful Noir thanks Eileen for the detailed response about your experience with these items. They are looking to be a good investment so I’ll put them on my wish list.
I don't think u can get that pair of chanel earrings at the boutique anymore. A few years back my fren was looking for them. But maybe u should sell them away. I sold mine 2 months back at 80% retail which was not too bad
I actually need an opinion. In terms of bracelet shape, do u gals think the cartier type ( minimalist flat and simple) looks nicer or a slightly rounded shape looks better? Sometimes I wonder if we are over influenced by the love bracelet that everybody needs 1 :)
What a beautiful collection, Eileen 😍! Love all of your pieces ❤! Btw, with me, it was the other way around: my first love was jewellery, then handbags / SLGs 😉🤗.

Would you ever get a diamond tennis bracelet? I love your style!! Thank you for sharing such a great collection!
Hi Diana, I'm more drawn to bangles for some reason, so I think I might add another bangle instead xx
@@ColourfulNoir Thank you for your response!!
Thank you for sharing! I really enjoyed your honest opinions on all your pieces! ; )
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! xx
Hi Eileen , I noticed you have the date just rolex watch and I am wondering if you can give me the idea should I get the white one tone or two tone rolex ? Thanks
Hi Eileen! Do you wear your rose gold VCA necklace for shower etc?
Yes I do! xx
This was such a lovely video to watch. I just started uploading my videos and ordered an VCA alhambra MOP bracelet. I want to have mine resized but our city is going into lockdown tomorrow, so now I am not sure when I can get that done. 😔
Very beautiful collection classic and timeless (dreaming collections for me :) I'm in love with your cartier diamond band stack with your wedding band. Would love to ask your suggestion
I am buy diamond earring stud in total 1ct very good cut in E colour and I'm mix colour jewerly which one would you go for white gold or gold setting I'm torn to white gold but other side love gold too 🤦♀️ very appropriated ❤
For a pair of simple diamond studs, my heart is more drawn to white gold or platinum 💛
@@ColourfulNoir thank you so much i think i can make decisions now 😁☺️😘😍 white gold timeless
Great review! I’m thinking of buying the Cartier love ring (the thin version) and I’m wondering between rose gold and yellow gold. I love rose gold but I’m worried the rose gold will change its color. What would you recommend :)?
My rose gold pieces still look pretty decent 💛
You have a beautiful collection of items. I am a new subscriber and am enjoying your videos very much.
Thank you so much!xx
you are such an elegant lady. i love your videos ❤️
Thank you so much!xx
Eileen who has ur experience been w VCA’s rose gold? Does it fade slightly or the years? I just bought the gray MOP Alhambra necklace and although I love the gray mop I’m having second thought about rose gold if it’s a tad too rosy for me against my skin tone. Can’t decide rather to keep or exchange.
Hi Kay, the rose gold on my VCA pieces still look pretty good. I wear the sweet alhambra a lot too, and it's holding up really good xx
great video! I do think that simple diamond pieces really have no need for a brand as long as they come with a GIA cert
I'm a bit late to the game but that's definitely the direction I'm heading for now xx
Stunning collection 🧡
Thank you!! 😊
Hello, did you do extension on your VCA sweet rose gold necklace? Thank you
Actually the Cartier necklaces are also very sparkly as the chain is cut with multi facets which glimmer in the light. Love my Cartier Diamant Legers necklace.
The Cartier Diamant Legers necklace is really a beautiful piece, enjoy it in good health xx
I never considered diamond earrings from Tiffany’s I will have to check them out.
Hello! Could you talk about engagement rings? diamonds solitaires?
Hi Eileen, do you wear your watch fitted or loosely? I just got the same combination in yellow gold and steel, and got sa to remove 6 links. It fits snug and i like it for this watch, tho i am used to wearing my watch loosely. Would love to hear from you 😊
Hi just want your thoughts on durability of rose gold in VCA , does it tarnish/ fade/ scratch easily compared to yellow gold?
Hello, I'm planning to purchase a rolex same as yours to be worn on my left wrist. I also have my love bracelet on same side. Do you stack your rolex watch with your hermes bracelet?
I usually wear the watch on its own, I'm not very into stacking xx
@@ColourfulNoir Thank you 🥰
You should check out Blue Nile for diamonds and customize rings. Their price is excellent for the quality they offer :)
Thanks for the tip! I've heard about them quite a bit as one of my husband's friends was shopping for an engagement ring xx
Love your collection. It's timeless
Love your collection, i invest too in fine jewellery 🥰
Thank you Isabel xx
Beautiful collection! The Collier de Chien rose gold bracelet is high up on my current wishlist.
You'll love the Hermes CDC xx
Hi 👋🏻, I find your videos really interesting and thoughtful. You have mentioned a really interesting point with the difference of width between the cartier love ring (with and without diamond). As it is still difficult to get and try in store 😬, would you mind mesure the width difference between the two (I can’t find this information anywhere) it will really help me to make my mind about these rings before buying 😉 .... Thank you very much !!! Have a great day 😊💕💕💕
Hi the original is less than 1mm but the pave one is about 1.5 xx
Colourful Noir Thank you very much 🙏🏻
Beautiful collection, loved seeing some rose gold pieces🥰
Thank you so much 😊
How does Van Cleef rose gold compare to Cartier rose gold? And has the colour faded/stayed the same for both brands rose gold?
I've not had any issues with shade fading as yet with both brands, but I do personally prefer the rose gold from Cartier xx
What’s your thought about the Cartier Babylove necklace in rose gold?
For some reason I'm not very drawn to the love necklaces. I always wonder if the two joint love rings would feel comfortable as a pendant xx
Hello Eillen, can you tell me how many grams of gold is the VCA 5 motiv braclet? I am thinking about getting one and I want to compare it to thin love and thin just un clu :)
Is the rose gold of van cleef very pink or subtle like the Cartier .Thank you
I would say the VCA rose gold is a bit more pink than the Cartier one xx
What size is the Hermes bracelet you had on on this video? Is this the Clic Clac H or the Clic H? The size of this looks like in between of the two.
Thank you for showing us, I’m inspired by vca it’s in my Wishlist, may I know how much was the necklace? Thanks
Hi you should be able to find the price here

Do you mix yellow gold and rose gold?
I am thinking of cataloging all my jewelry. I was going to add a photo of each piece. Do you have any suggestions?
I don't think u can get that pair of chanel earrings at the boutique anymore. A few years back my fren was looking for them. But maybe u should sell them away. I sold mine 2 months back at 80% retail which was not too bad
I think I might let my Chanel earrings too, I've not been wearing them for years xx
Is this can wear while bathing??thanks
You have at least 3 accents Hahaha! Thanks for the video!!
Why not celebrate diversity I thought 😁
I actually need an opinion. In terms of bracelet shape, do u gals think the cartier type ( minimalist flat and simple) looks nicer or a slightly rounded shape looks better? Sometimes I wonder if we are over influenced by the love bracelet that everybody needs 1 :)
Would love to hear what everyone says xx
I am interested in the Dior piece that you’re selling
Hi Sean, you can find more details here xx

What a beautiful collection, Eileen 😍! Love all of your pieces ❤!
Btw, with me, it was the other way around: my first love was jewellery, then handbags / SLGs 😉🤗.
Would love to peek into your fine jewellery collection! xx
Beautiful ❤
Thank you! 😊
See your sweet Alhambra necklace what is this one called like is it hammered
What brand is your wedding ring from?
It's from Mappin and Webb xx
I would be interested in VCA long necklace if you ever consider to sell
Hi Maggie, my email is contact@colourfulnoir.com if you're interested xx
Hy where is your ring from that is on your right index finger? :)
Hi I stacked the Cartier Love ring with the Hermes Chaine de Ancre ring xx
I just found your channel. You’re sweet, lovely and very engaging. I hope your channel grows and grows and grows.
