My heart is deeply sadden. Didn't know of her demise. I often go to one of my FAVORITE videos of Mr Cleveland calling on the Barrett Sisters, Inez Andrew, Albertina Walker & others to sing..."Only A Look" As always, I'm hollering saying....sing Ms Billie, not knowing she was no longer with us😭

The Brown Sister sounded great.
I was 7 or 8 when I was introduced to the Barrett Sisters in the 80s. I would go around the house singing their songs from the Say Amen Somebody documentary. Then in the digital era I started downloading their albums and even learning to play their music on the keyboard. I love their blend and miss their style of gospel music.
Billie was always so sharp and beautifully poised. Loved all 3 sisters and now Rodessa is the only one left but she still appears to be doing well in her 90s!

Oooh myyy...I am so deeply saddened to just hear of Ms. Billie Barrett Greenbey's passing. I know that the angels were rejoicing as they greeted her singing in her beautiful contralto voice. Ms. Billie now has her crown and has sat down beside King Jesus...well done thy good and faithful servant, well done. Such a beautiful and befitting message from Dr. Otis Moss, lll.

I recall first seeing The Barrett Sister on the Amen Documentary. I said they can sing and if they are really sisters.......they are beautiful women . They were talented and beautiful and I became a Barrett Sister Fan.
