I haven't done a full episode before so I'm excited to see how it goes. I was actually crying of laughter watching this opening, I absolutely loved it.

In the OP where Makima is feeding the snail, it's not just a snail with weird antennas. Those weird antennas is actually an extension of a flatworm called "Leucochloridium paradoxum" or green-banded broodsac. If it got your attention, then it is doing its job well. The flatworm is trying to get the attention of a bird to eat the snail but not only with the rave antennas, The flatworms full control of the motor nerves, it makes the snail climb to the highest point on a tree for easier meal delivery.
The antennas are devoured, and the eggs are delivered to where it wants to be; inside the bird, where the flatworm will reproduce and deliver more eggs via the digestive tract to spread to other snails.
There is another insect in the scene which is a jewel wasp on top of Denji's head. Like the flatworm, it also changes the behavior of other creatures for it's own advantage. The wasp finds cockroaches, stings in a very specific spot in the brain, and the leads it back to its den via the roach's antenna like a dog on a leash. There the roach has an egg laid on it's belly and then be sealed into the burrow to act as incubator for the baby wasp and then becomes food where the roach will still not react since its brain surgery is still in effect.
I’ve only read like 15 chapters of the manga until they were in that hotel or something and I keep hearing about a snowball fight and I’m scared LMAO
