Weirdly enough, my favourite scene this episode was daddy Kishibe’s introduction. There’s something so powerful about his first words being to shut Makima up, MAKIMA of all people. Hell of an introduction.

The fact that he is comfortable doing that is _extremely_ important. And impressive.
Fun fact:Fujimoto tweeted out yesterday that Himeno supposedly hails from the Aomori prefecture of Japan,a well known place for its apples. So everytime the apple is in a manga panel/shot of the anime,it's probably supposed to be a constant reminder to Aki that Himeno is gone for good. Sad.
