Perfect video man! It's stupid how complicated they make it now to try and watch TV for free. Between antennas and streaming the cable companies are becoming obsolete, and it seems they are trying really hard to complicate this matter when it should be just a couple clicks like TVs used to be. Anyway thanks for the help. Worked perfectly to set up an external antenna to get live local channels.
Yes, how can something so easy be so difficult??? ...I learned that one can NOT back out of the TV mode once that is selected as the [source] in order to get to the next step, the [settings] menu. Instead, like this video shows, the Home button must be used to get to settings. If one backs up using the back button in order to get to settings, then the source is no longer TV and the [Broadcast] menu selection will be grayed out and not available to use. This took me forever to realize, but it is right there in this video of how to do it by following the exact steps.
I’ve been trying to tune this damn tv in for two weeks. I’ve watched heaps of you tubers. They’re all useless. You really an absolutely legend. Thank you so much.

Thank you for this video. If you don't mind I have questions. Our TV model is SAMSUNG UA40EH5000R. Every time I scan channels for cable tv. Some of them have video but no audio and a bit blurred. Some channels are fine. If I do another scan some of the working channels have blurred video no audio and the not working channels in the first scan already working. How can I scan channel individually?

Well I'm glad for all the people this helped, but in my case, it resulted in 261 Samsung TV channels and reduced all my Xfinity box channels to one. That's right - one, the USA network. And yes, I did choose the cable option for the scan. Tried it three times now, same result.

Just bought m4500. Connected via HDMI 1. This auto channel setup process doesn’t work when not selecting TV. I tried selecting HDMI 1, too, but no channels are detected. Ugh.

What are these so called "Smart TV Sticks"? They sell these for fifty bucks and it says you can receive hundreds of channels without monthly payment. Are these practically the same channels as mentioned in the video?

That's so lame though. Every single video shows how to fix broadcasting being greyed out, but mine is not greyed out by auto scan is! So frusturating.
