The half yoke also appears to have "left" "right" controls on top of "up" "down" for trim. Are those aileron trim or rudder trim and is there a gauge to see if adjustments are neutralized?
Have you flown the plane in the update? I eventually found that myself but adjusting the trim didn’t appear to cause the indication to move at all, wondering if it’s a bug or if Im doing something wrong.
Thanks was looking for this. I agree there are many times when you’re just flying and it hits you how incredible it looks. So many great planes coming soon to msfs too, so much to look forward too.
It's fantastic that Working Title are putting this much detail into the stock aircraft in MSFS. Such a great aquisation from the Mircorost and Asobo teams. WT really know there stuff and are changing the dynamic when it comes to stock aircraft from the Microsoft Flight Simulator franchise. The doors not opening was a desgn choice in the past Jorge has reversed that and now see's this as adding to the immersion, so I'm expecting WT to add this at some point, they've already done this to some default aircraft like the TBM.
Cant wait to fly this with the new update! Also the trim indicator on the SR22 can be found on the rod of the yoke. It can be hard to see from normal seating view.
Trim indication is on the stick itself where it runs back into the dash. In the real aircraft the trim tab actually moves the zero and stick itself in and out therefore changing the indication on the markings. Not sure if this is simulated in MSFS. (also never run pitot heat on the ground for more than 45 seconds in these guys!) :)
A post on the MSFS forum said that this wasn't simulated. A response to it was that the method the aircraft uses to trim irl is not simulated, so a work around was used. Because of this a workaround was needed. Indicating it on the side stick would apparently cause the sidestick model to not match the actual deflection of the stick, which would not be accurate for VR users.
Regarding the Density Altitude. I think the G1000 does not show the ISA deviation, but the ISA temperature at your current altitude. You were at 7000ft and had about 1 to 2 degree Centigade, which is correct as you pointed out. Then you have to calculate the deviation yourself, like you did correctly…. Cheers
Thanks for the review Emi! I would use the TKS as a preventative anti ice tool. If you wait too long the holes which dispense the liquid will be blocked by ice and... well you know the rest from many Cirrus icing related accident report all over the net.

The beauty of flying in Germany is the huge number of small well done airfields avalaible (pay and free) , like Switzerland and Austria. I agree with all your comments. I am a glider pilot in RL and Switzerland is really like the real one. For Training VFR flight it is really ideal and I have two developers that have done my LSZL airport. By not only one single little airport is missing in Switzerland, pay or free, they are all there.
Yeah, you need to turn down the movement slider on the turbulence setting in FSRealistic a lot so your virtual spine isn’t being played like a concertina in turbulence. 😄
My flight instructor always told me that, other than in specific short-field configurations, you don't "rotate" a light aicraft; you simply apply a little backward pressure on the yoke/stick. Agree?
Same for me. I have always been only a passenger in the Cirrus GTS of a friend of mine that was equipped with Avidyne. It was his second Cirrus and he prefered Avidyne suite equipped over the G1000. Nice and speedy aircraft.
I did my CPL and IFR training on Avidyne equipped aircraft, I indeed prefer them over the G1000 as well. Nonetheless the G1000 still is an excellent unit!
It wasn't too long ago that I was complaining there wasn't a good high fidelity single engine GA like this that used modern avionics instead of steam gauges. Lo and behold, Working Title and Asobo delivers.

If MSFS 2024 ships with default aircraft of this fidelity then it will certainly raise the bar for add-on developers as well.
I really hope it will! We've seen some really good addons over the course of MSFS's lifespan like the JF Pipers, the Black Square aircraft, the A2A Comanche, but unfortunately also quite some low quality stuff. Hopefully you're right and default aircraft on this level are going to raise the overall bar!
Looks like a great little plane! Did you say it will only be available to Premium Deluxe users?
They are really trying to get me to upgrade to the Deluxe Edition, don't they?
If only they would have a sale on that one. 80€ just for an upgrade is ridiculous considering it was half of that at release.
Perhabs consider waiting until you have to buy FS24 anyway and only get it then. I could well imagine that the "basic" aircraft packages will be similar.
But I fully agree, with the 787, Longitude and now the SR22 we are slowly talking about something for the money!
Landjng light off please...
14:40 made me laugh ngl
Too bad they didn't make the keypad usable though
Thank you for noting that us pilots are too lazy for tables and prefer an app if at all possible 😂
