I would like to give a big thank you to everyone that submitted soap top texture photos for this video. It was very difficult to choose as so many were amazing! However we had to narrow it down and below are the ones that made the cut (like I said, it was a very hard choice!).
The spoon method is sometimes called "smocking" because it can appear like the type of smocking you do in sewing. Not all soap makers call it this, but it is a term that is catching on and visually, it makes sense.
*A note on the imprint method. The first place I saw this was from Auntie Clara's. I contacted her to give proper credit and am still awaiting response. This method can be done with cookie cutters or shaped wire. It works best with smaller imprint objects and can be customized fairly easy. I'm thinking a logo stamp would be an excellent way to use this method, provided it was made of wire.

Hi Amina! Brambleberry has a soap calculator that works very well. Just make sure you have at least 30% hard oils.

Thanks Hessey! This video was not a tutorial. The idea behind it was to showcase what can be done for beginners.
