A young woman is murdered in an “honor” killing in Afghanistan. Having never heard the Gospel, God tortures her for eternity in Hell. Really? Eternal conscious torment is a misunderstanding of Jesus’s teachings. Jesus says clearly, unbelievers will “perish “ (John 3:16). And Paul says clearly “the wages of sin is DEATH” (Romans 6:23). Call me an Annihilationist.
Romans 1:20, NIV: "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse." Now if she isn't saved and yet God still allows her to go to heaven God just made his sacrifice of Jesus of no matter. It also means us as Christians don't really need to go reach her with the gospel since she's guaranteed heaven as someone who is ignorant of the gospel.
@@sdb6757 I agree with you. I am deserving of hell. Even more so because I know the law and yet sometimes I still break it. And it is only because of the power of Christ's death on the cross, nothing that I've done or can do, that I can live and tell others about Christ and when I die, to go be with that wonderful Savior forevermore. Now we live in such a century where it is easy to reach the lost through the internet or I can help fund missionaries who know the languages and are able to reach young people like that. And so I have. Currently I drive a couple of young kids to church functions who otherwise wouldn't be able to attend. Would you rather I left them and go travel to the middle east where I don't know the language to try and convert a woman whose very people refer to Americans as infidels? What you are saying is that you know more than God which is the point made by this pastor. Repent and be saved ❤️ humble yourself under the mighty hand of God and learn to trust Him. There are a ton of things that we as humans don't understand. Abraham Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets are good examples of this. They lived hundreds of years before Jesus was even born they had no way of knowing previous that God was going to keep his word and send the Messiah. But they had faith. And so will anyone who chooses to serve God. And God knows and has already chosen who is going to follow him and who is going to serve him and who will not.
@@MelissaKelleyHaircuts I’ve heard your argument all my life and I believed it for many decades. But now I realize what a convenient cop-out answer that is. God gave us brains with the ability to reason. He would not give such illogical answers to such important questions. Learn to read the Bible correctly. I suggest checking out the teachings of N.T. Truth I LOVE THE WORDS OF TRUTH. GLORY TO GOD ALMIGHTY
