How to set Tri-Fold Brochure Size in Adobe Illustrator

Thank you so much I didn't know how to split the box, offset or how to make them into guides so I learned it all! I am so thankful because google will give you BS answers to the size and formatting of a simple 3 panel brochure. Im resisting the urge to go on a rant here but after trying 20 different sizes that google results gave me I was fed up. This helped so much thank you.

If you use A4 29,7cm x21 cm, u can use -0,635cm for make offset path.

What's the purpose of the offset? I mean im asking in best practice perspective why is it needed to add a guide offset? when printing isn't the edge of the entire trifold the only concern?
