i totally agree, they nearly didn't have any scenes together, and like 2 "romantic" scenes but dont matter tho we know that they were end game and belonged to each other and literally loved each other to death...
The ending was so beautiful... it all came back full circle.. their journey started with them at train station and ended with them at the train station, but instead of Lidia chasing after the train this time it was Francisco... it was beautiful, and bittersweet
francisco ALWAYS loved lidia. they were meant to be. what they have is a once in a lifetime love. they were endgame since episode one. deserved so much better.

The chemistry between yon y blanca is just off the charts...hv seen many pairings of these two wid other actors. I hv noticed all spanish actors are immensely great no doubt ...the pairing of lidia y carlos n others were also great in this series but these two are amazingly exceptional together on screen...there is just something in their bond which differentiate them from other pairings. They just hv to be present in a scene not even kissing or romantically involved...magic happens...Thanks for english subs...love spanish bt could not get the words n watched all interviews still....it helps us, international audience if english subs are provided....
I agree 100%. Martino and Blanca were also insanely great together - but I agree with you. Yon & Blanca's chemistry is totally off the charts!!! I love everything they are in together. The ending without a single doubt, killed me emotionally. Not only my poor otp (Lidia and Francisco) deserved WAY better, but also LITERALLY everyone else... Poor Eva, she never got to have a chance with Carlos, her mother died, Marga JUST had her son and she FREAKING died!!!! Oscar never lived as his true self for a long period of time... I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT! I seriously thought Lidia would wake up from a dream and be in Bordeaux with her friends and family happy AFTER ALL, but no, the writers wanted us literally in pieces

Some people said that they hated the ending but I loved it. Well I didn't like that characters I've watched for years died but how the show showed the reality of that time. People fought and died for a better future in that time and people still do. It was a very difficult time and tbh I'm glad that it wasn't a happy ending because I find too many shows and films have those fluffy happily ever afters. But life isn't always like that. Also did people forget that Sofia got a somewhat happy ending with the guy she loves, but she lost lidia and people she cared for in the process. The ending of the show was bittersweet but that was what that time period was like. So many loved ones died in the spanish civil war. So in my pov the ending of the show was spot on.

I've only just started season 2. And from season 1, Carlos and Alba looked happy together. I love Francisco, especially since I know the actor from Gran Hotel and only watched this show because of him. But at least in season 1, Carlos and Alba were happy and cute together. And I felt for Francisco since he was chasing what they used to have. Most likely things will change in the coming seasons for me, but despite loving Francisco more than Carlos, I still liked Carlos and Alba together.
