These are the times when Odo would twiddle what would be his thumbs. The Sisko and Jadzia look at each other. Kira sighs. O'Brien looks bored. Doc is reading. Finally Quark says, "Isn't anyone gonna buy a drink? "

I'd like to thank you, uploader, for helping me and my family get sleep tonight. We're at a Radisson with a particularly loud and rude neighbor playing music throughout the night. The hum of a retrofit Cardassian mining station from my phone helped drown out a person's lack of respect and low self esteem. Thank you. Truly.
Károly Holczhauser I really loved DS9 on original showing and have 5 of the 7 dvd season boxes, I'm still trying to get seasons 5&6 but they're really expensive so haven't got them yet. This was by far the best Trek of them all.
Károly Holczhauser Here in the UK they sell for anything between £80-85 right up to (on ebay) £150 each. You can buy the cheaper slip cased sets for alot less but I have the original plastic boxes which are hard to find for reasonable money.
I tried sleeping to this last night. Rolled around in bed for about an hour thinking "Ugh! Another night of staying up waaay too late! I'll never get to sleep!" Two hours later I woke up after a dream: Woah! When did I fall asleep?" Doing this again tonight. Thanks for these! I hope these will help me with my sleep issues. I'll keep you updated if I have more success.
Don’t mind me I’m just sitting here waiting for Garak to help me dress nicer, Quark to help me barter better, and Odo to eavesdrop on me having a perfectly normal conversation.
john difrancisco You're welcome and thank you so much too. Without such appreciative listeners like yourself I would have lost interest in making so many of these some time ago.
I listen to a lot of talk radio, so something like Stern, Art Bell or Opie & Anthony goes amazingly well with this when I'm trying to sleep. Thank you for your service.
Dabo wheel. 12 hours. Really. It's kind of a soft digitally noise, the full spin of the wheel, from the faster to slower until it stops, over and over again. I think it would be great! :D
There's something calming about this movie, like an extraterrestrial seashore that soothes the nerves and provokes a zen like trance within, thank you 😊
Thanks again, that high whine buried in there makes it a bit too "pointy" for my taste, but I of course added to my playlist in my OCD way. I'm still a TNG 24 hour purist.
simonsickboy Thanks. Yea it is really hard to re-capture the magic of making a long sound like the TNG one. Everything else I hear is just not quite as relaxing, iconic, or nostalgic. I'm gonna keep trying though. Got a huge list of ideas that I'm coming up with and ones that people keep sending me.
David Cohen Yea, DS9 had it quite a bit more subdued than in some of the other shows. In TNG it is very loud but on this sample from DS9 it had to be amplified a bit.
Has anyone else wondered why a space station not moving has as loud an ambient sound as a starship with a warp drive traveling many times faster than light?
interesting video post. It reminds me of the first time I watched star trek original re-runs on a TV with good stereo speakers. Episodes with weapon impacts and the enterprise being hit by things now sounded so different. You could hear reverberations dying out.
Marco Paganini They tried that, and the crew went mad from the silence. So they play these recordings over the hidden speakers to help them calm down. : 3
this plus deathstar sounds just about right...a very subtle groundshaking every now and then, with DS at max and this at ~30%...edit: added in the 1956 Krell machine at 30% too...perfect! makes me feel like being in some D.U.M.B.
Captains log stardate (I don't want to trigger anybody), I still have no idea were the crew disappeared to, with the station empty and quiet, this ambient noise is the only thing keeping me from going mad...
This is like some subtle Obsidian Order torture for me, I'd go insane after the first month of this... You can't even block it with earplugs, it's too deep.
This makes me want to order some fresh gackt and get some fresh prune juice (it is a warriors drink after all) go to my quarters and sit back and relax. Might head over to the promenade play some dabo or visit Vince Montaine later who knows really.

Lots of different ways.
