    I used to be an incredibly slow reader. It wasn't until I actively started researching and trying to read faster that I was able to increase my reading speed from around 250 words per minute (which is about average), to nearer 400 words per minute. In this video, I explain how.

      It's incredibly common because, in most countries, that's how you're taught to read. The problem is, and I'm 90% sure he mentions this, the human voice tops out at around 200-250 wpm (seem familiar with the averages?). If you stop doing it, though, then you focus on meanings and ideas instead of sounds. Before you know it, you're reading at 400+ wpm with little issue.

    • @marianemashkalo4182
      @marianemashkalo4182 3 роки тому +1

      @@intellectualsplayground4707 You're right, we are taught to read aloud first. I am trying to fix it now while reading, the habit is a strong thing, but I'll keep fighting.

    He used the word 'motivation' quite some times in the video
    I recently heard somewhere that you need motivation to do something you aren't really interested in..like a push force... Motivation pushes you to get the task done. The task should rather 'pull' you towards itself
    What so you guys think
