Damn, that was actually really fucking awesome. Have to be honest I really wasn't expecting much and clicked on this vid because i thought it would be terrible but i thoroughly enjoyed it. Awesome job man
Oh, man! This is so good. I haven't played piano since I was in school and your videos have really encouraged me to get back into it. I hope you come back with more of these incredible covers soon!
This has long been one of my all-time favorite songs, and I was skeptical about a piano version. That being said... MIND BLOWN. Amazing. Re-record with better sound quality?
Shawn Smith Nothing constructive here, there is no such thing as a perfect performer. That's about as perfect of a piano performance of Mudvayne that your ever going to hear. You nailed it and should be very proud. I like that you have a diverse taste in music genres, please don't stop & keep up the good work. Your pal James :)
Shawn Smith Here let me clarify my message because it could be taken out of context. Basically your doing a one shot take on video which is my favorite style of cover songs because it shows off your talent. But because your covers are one continuous shot there will always be slight imperfections in any performance even if they are minute. If you would record this again I'm sure there would be some slight imperfection in your performance. This is why musicians go to studios so they can take multiple recordings and mix / master the best of their performances to make the flawless track. Even symphonies do this technique when recording, even if the music scores are easy for example: music for films. The difference is weather or not any imperfections in a performance take away from the impact of the performance! Obviously yours is a no but it's important to understand that most cover songs fail because performers are focusing only on the notes and not the volume dynamics or the intonation. You seem to cover all aspects of a song correctly like any professional musician would so realize your way ahead in the game of covers! Besides a little lag never hurt any song. It wasn't that long ago when the most popular music of the time were jazz, folk & blues and they all used a little lag time here and there :) I really hope my advice helps. Are you a student at Juilliard? Because if not you should be.
once you master a song completely u can really get into it like u and head band and throw your wrists around i know u loved that feeling at the end of the video. i love that feeling u just feel so bad ass \m/!!
I don't play piano, I know motions of the fingers... Can you teach me this song? Please I love it. I can give you my email if you prefer. Awesome interpretation, you should cover Happy? :D, I love how much emotion you put while playing
