You are a great bassist. Gene is a really underrated bassist ....With his walking bass lines and very distorted sound fits very well ...Hell on the first few albums his bass seemed more heavy than the guitars ...I could be wrong but this sounds like a later version ...Anyways...Awesome job ...I am a metal bassist by trade I started playing bass around 1985 And Kiss was my band ....They lost me at Unmasked and The Elder I never listened to the Album ...But I did catch them on Fridays and Solid Gold T.V. Shows....They lip synced on Gold....But on Fridays they played live ...In front of the TV show crowd and the songs they played was off the Elder ....And they rocked!!! Thank you again for the video ....Say what you will of Kiss now ....THIS WAS MY BAND !!....I salute you !
Why do some people say Gene is not a good bass player? Thats a great bass line. It carrys the song not to much not too littele. Has a great groove and very melodic
this mighe be an out of place question, but how do you write a bass line like that, I mean assuming you already have the guitar chords, how do you come out with those bass lines, whats the scale they use or whats the musical name of it?

0:51 why such a position change to the next riff? Just use 0's and 2's on the A and 0's and 2's on the D and finish with 2 on the E. Also planning to hire a teacher for couple of months. Just to be sure in details of techniques, because i practice alone and could miss smth.
this is a half step down... but you have it in standard tuning. Playing along with this track is horrible due to the fact you have the wrong tuning labeled, when I can in fact hear that it's a half step down. Just put that this is actually half step down somewhere. Because if you play along in standard tuning it sounds awful.
Gene is not the most exciting bass player, good showmanship, entertaining, solid Rhythm section won’t blow your hair off. But as gene has admitted himself, his about the merch, the show, the stage, doesn’t spend a minute more on musicianship than he has too. He knows his not the best, but his happy for his wallet to say otherwise.
