  • Sometimes a quilt is out of whack simply because it’s been handled a lot before quilting, which allows the fabric to stretch out of shape. It may also be that the borders were not correctly cut and added to the quilt. You may be able to tame the unruly sections using heavy spray starch and steam. See how in this video. www.kellyclineq...

You have been ssooooo helpful! I am a self taught piecer and long armer and needless to say, I have never had a “perfect” quilt😢. It’s helpful to know that people actual have issues with their quilts and it’s not just me😂

Are you not worried about the moisture getting down into your bobbin case?

Nope, it’s a very light mist and when steaming, I don’t do this near my machine. It’s dry by the time I stitch.

Thank you......I have never done that as far as the water, starch and iron. I can see that would be a good trick to know.

penny powell thanks! I don’t think I shared the end. It was such busy fabric that I probably thought a photo wouldn’t show much. It was nice and flat! Thanks on the tool tray, found as a mechanics tool tray on Amazon.
