The camera work was epic. Technically we subconsciously saw the nosy neighbour blurred up in the background, but until they zoomed in her when the old lady talked about not having privacy... it’s like she just appeared!
"he said the lawyer was a confidence man.." This is the little details that made this show so good. "Confidence man" is the original term that was shortened to "Con Man".. It was only used in older times, like as in when the elderly lady was young. She used the correct term for her time, and the writing... just.. what an amazing show this IS.
I’ve learned something very interesting from this! Thank you, great to see such appreciation of the the work that went into a show I love as a millennial. Helps me appreciate it more too!
The being ID'ed, the mother's cheque being in his apartment and lying about having seen the dead guy are circumstantial but add up to reasonable grounds for an arrest.
"Confidence man" is where the contemporary term "con-man" comes from. I often forget that when I was young the old people were from the early twentieth century.
What I FRICKIN love from this show is how the case very rarely let personal issue involved. I hate those cases where the bad guy chase after one of the detective's relative, then the episode would be dragging. That's almost never the case with L&O!
A plot hole: Once he’s retrieved the check, there’s no reason to keep it and it’s evidence against him. Tear it up and throw it down a sewer. Or if you want to erase its existence, tear it up, put it in a nice bowl of cereal, eat the thing and let your digestive system and the toilet dispose of the remaining particles. And paper is a fiber, so it’s even good for your digestion! 😜
This guy seemed a bit above average intelligence, but not a bad person, so committing murder (if he did it) would have thrown him. Not thinking clearing. But even the really bright killers usually screw up something. It’s their one bright mind against literally an army of investigators, scientists, computers, data banks, now dna evidence. It’s not a great era to be a killer in. I must admit, this would be a hard one for a jury though. Should this guy go into a system, where he could be snuffed out like a light in days, for erasing a piece of filth? A defense attorney would play those jurors like a violin. But I’m guessing it’s not him? Maybe his wife?
I kinda figured he was gonna put check it in for himself but I dunno how they work if they need the I.d of the person it's made out to. Their family had been through a ringer, he may have decided the money was safer with him instead of his mum. Dont know who else might come along and con her out of everything.. again😅 But then again maybe you're right it's a crime of passion that's frazzled his brain and he's not thinking about the thing he put in his pocket 🤷🏽♀️

It's almost as if it's done on purpose.
There is this website where you can watch tv shows and stuff like that it is called soap2day it has this TV show with all the seasons
I was willing to buy them but most seasons of law & order are unavailable for some frustrating reason.
Van Buren: is one of you have a GF in a nursing home:
Logan: that would be Lenny
later
The old woman is holding Logan.
😂😂
Can you blame Logan for trying to deflect that one?
What part of Logan is she holding?
Old woman got good taste. Hung onto Logan with both hands 🤣
i gotta say van buren has got a nice wagon she draggin. i would smell her buns in the morning let me tell you

Number 3 looks like he’s going to give me a daily affirmation.
"You really have to see it from our point of view, Johnny." What an awesome line!
"Do you believe him?"
"No."
"That's good enough for me."
Nursing home Girlfriend Lenny. 🇵🇷
"Do you believe him?"
"Well the part about wanting to see a lawyer, yes."
Lenny, my favorite character!! Actually, watching Law & Order on Sundance right now.
My mom loves Lenny.
Wasn't watching from the beginning and heard the voice - dear me this man is pure Jeff Goldblum!
I love the end of this episode. "Heavens to Betsy, Claire. What a dreadful idea."
Man, getting narc’d on by g-ma…that’s gangster!
The police want to you questions, YOU ASK FOR A LAWYER! !!! Then you don't say a F...ing word....
Then Law & Order would be boringgggg
@noproblemchild super boring!😂
Johnny (the husband suspect) looks like the screenwriting teacher I had lmao
The man who plays the killer has a voice and cadence that are dead ringers for Jeff Goldblum.
I swear I could hear her roommate throw shade at her.

Nursing home Lenny longest girlfriend
I found that quite humorous: "one of you have a girlfriend in a nursing home?" That would be Lenny... but who has a woman under his arms? :D

Circumstantial at best. Eye witness said "I think so" and the suspect lawyered up. That doesn't mean he's guilty.
