Not ONLY is that Dick Allen card the only player in the 71 set with a mustache, that is also the first card in 60 years to show a player with facial hair. Literally since Tobacco era cards.
Orlando, as I appraise a friend’s card collection who bought packs in the late 60’s and early 70’s such as your self. This series is a valuable and entertaining tool/ thanks 👍❤️
Thanks for another great video. I was born in the '70s, so many of these cards take me directly back to my youth. That's one of the biggest appeals of the hobby to me. It has the ability (on occasion) to act as an intellectual time machine. It's amazing how the sight of a specific card can take one back to a particular time and place...even if only for a moment.
Great list of cards. 71,75,72 are some of my favorites. The Ryan cards from those years are top notch. I would also add ‘73 Munson, it’s such an awesome image of him in the crouch. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Orlando. That 71 Topps Ryan is a beautiful card. I picked up that card up at the National. I think any Mays, Aaron, Clemente and Ryan are important cards to have from this time frame. I really enjoyed seeing these cards, thank you for sharing.
I have a few, but would not grade well. The 73 Lou Gehrig is important because one was used in the Goonies. My nephew was over the moon when I gave him one. It's a popular card but still super affordable.
I love how you giving the 70s the love they deserve . I never understood why people never really got into them . Heck like 1975 minis are like short prints because they were regional release .
Hi Orlando. Thanks for sharing some real beautiful cards. You cannot go wrong with any Nolan Ryan cards in the 70`s. I also really like the 1970 all star cards. Talk soon my friend.
Nice follow up to the 79s rookies videos. I don’t know why I don’t have the Ted Williams manager cards, they’re nice! So many cool cards and subset cards to get. Thanks for sharing Orlando
Great stuff! The '71 Ryan is one of the most eye-appealing cards of all time! I hope I get the chance to pick one up soon. Great example of the '75 hank #1, mine just came back a 4 and I love it!
Have a video like Orlando! I enjoyed this immensely. I’ve quietly been adding 70’s cards. If I were to add any probably ‘74 and ‘75 Thurman Munson. ‘74 Marichal with the high leg kick, maybe some Jim Palmer and the ‘73 Pete Rose fouling off the pitch. Iconic! Thanks for sharing!
Some fantastic choices Orlando, the 70s have some great cards! The Seaver wins the opener card and the All-Time Home Run Leaders card are two of my favorites!
Love these series...its ok if the video goes long, show more cards please :) I havent seen some of these cards like the Ted Williams manager cards. Thanks again
Nice cards... i think having last cards of greats like Banks 71, Kaline 74, Gibson 75, Robinson 77, Aaron 76, Billy Williams 76 etc... is important, especially for those of us on tight budgets. Great way to get HOF icons in our collections. + Ron Leflore RC of 75. Great story prison to AS
Only Topps?!? No SSPC, no Hostess, no Kelloggs? Would love to see a video of best 70's non-HOF, non-rookie, non-Topps cards. I can easily think of 20 off the top of my head.
1973 Roberto Clemente is a MUST have! It his FINAL card due to his death in the plane crash! what about the 1973 Al Kaline witht he big old Bandaid across the forhead? That thing goes for 600 on ebay. Not sure if you have even seen it before. 1979 Thurman Munson again, look above... his last card due to the plane crash that caused his death.
Not ONLY is that Dick Allen card the only player in the 71 set with a mustache, that is also the first card in 60 years to show a player with facial hair. Literally since Tobacco era cards.
Thank you, I never knew that!
Awesome stuff
Great content again. I'm glad you included the Ruth/Aaron/Mays..key card there..I would also suggest the 1970 Rod Carew and 74 Garvey

@ACollectorsDream Sorry, I meant 71! I fat fingered it and edited my response.

Very nice video, nice collection of 1970’s vintage. But you forgot the greatest card ever the ‘76 Johnny Bench. Still good job
Good call! Yes great card of him and the dirt
The 70s had some fun cards. A few odd images, but overall great.
Thanks 🙏
Only Topps?!? No SSPC, no Hostess, no Kelloggs? Would love to see a video of best 70's non-HOF, non-rookie, non-Topps cards. I can easily think of 20 off the top of my head.
Coming soon! Wanted to do basic topps cards first
You alright orlando? No need to rush. Add the 71 Munson
Doing great, I tried not to make a long video. Did include 71’ Munson on first video, even though not his rookie
Great video could you do a video on post and or Kellogg's thank you Orlando
Great suggestion!
1976 Aaron 550 is the best card in the set.
Should have shared that one
1973 Roberto Clemente is a MUST have! It his FINAL card due to his death in the plane crash!
what about the 1973 Al Kaline witht he big old Bandaid across the forhead? That thing goes for 600 on ebay. Not sure if you have even seen it before.
1979 Thurman Munson again, look above... his last card due to the plane crash that caused his death.

How could you forget the 71 Thurman Munson card 😮
I included Munson in the first video, 71’ Munson is the best card of the set!
