It doesn’t download on mine, I have this error message: Failed to upgrade OS: failed status: failed to install core packages: command failed with exit status: exit code: 100
Try: sudo apt install pop-desktop It's possible a conflicting package removed that package. gnome-software can be a known cause. (source: pop-os Mattermost chat)
I literally just clicked on upgrade when the notification popped up and accepted the defaults when prompted. Came back after a little bit and it was applying the update and everything just worked. Pretty smooth. I don't have any special drivers which may help a great deal.
Thank you, Jay. Yes, this is an excellent update procedure. I would point out though that the installation occurs offline with the Plymouth screen displaying what is being installed. It then then reboots and the user can now log in.
Please trying to update had a message "pop os update error: fetch of package "librygel-server-2.6-2_0.3.8.1-2ubuntu3.3_amd64..................deb: connection closed before message completed" please how do I fix it
Something I noticed in all videos: your left shoulder is tense and allways higher than your right one, and your head is allways tilting towards the left. I don't know if you have back pain or something like that, but you might want to correct that, at least from time to time, to prevent it from happening. If you don't care, just ignore. Thanks for the video.
What is the normal ram usage for pop 19.10, just upgraded from 19.04 which had 1.2 gb ram usage on idle, with 19.10 it uses 2 gb on idle, is this normal???? Not sure what else could be consuming the additional ram as nothing new was installed apart from the upgrade.
Users running Pop!_OS 18.04 LTS may also upgrade to Pop!_OS 19.10 (if they wish.) This functionality is not ready yet, but is expected sometime in November.
@@MikyWoW Ahh!.....that's good news~! (Was starting to worry that Pop OS would become like so many other distros that stop remaining current with the lead distro's release. Guess I'll just sit tight until then and enjoy this most awesome OS in the interim!...

I really want to switch to pop os from Ubuntu. In my country (Bangladesh❤) there is no mirror site for pop os. 😥 (Ubunu, arch, debian, mint etc available)
Just watching the first minute and thirty seconds of this vid, its so bloated. This didn't need to be a 12 minute video that tells you to update 19.04, then click the download button, then click the install button.

I tried that too but same problem
@LearnLinux.tv Thank you Jay, this command told me which package was broken and I could fix it. I have successfully upgraded to 19.10

Is it safe to upgrade from 19.10 to 20.04. Little bit concerned because the latter is an LTS version... Or it would be better to do a full reinstall?
OK . How did you get screenfetch to display Pop!_OS correctly? And thanks as always for your contributions.
Screenfetch?
It's Neofetch
@@LearnLinuxTV NEofetch, same question from me, upgraded my self and it displays Ubuntu

Hello, a little off topic. My Ubuntu 19.04 is still not updating automatically. I would like to know if it is normal
Hmmm....I've been on Pop OS 18.04 and haven't seen this yet!?....I guess there's some repository you have to enable or something?

Will this process work for an upgrade from 18.04 to 20.04? Or 19.10 to 20.04?

Are torrents available? There may be a way to get it.
Can't you download from the website? I'm in BD, too.
I use it in Bangladesh. Downloading packages from distant servers is not that big of a problem tbh. Try it if you want.
Adobe flash stop working after upgrade in chomium plz help
Do any sites you visit still use Flash? I don't know how to fix it unfortunately, but Flash should be avoided as much as possible.
Naah battery life suck, glitch on zenbook touch pad..
