When Farage had a milkshake thrown over him and Jo Brand says "pity it wasn't acid", there is no defending that comment. It's also interesting how these celebs make derogatory comments about people such as Nigel Farage when they don't actually know anything about him. They just parrot the biased remarks they've heard from the mainstream media. I don't know what Skinner meant by saying Farage is not the peace maker. Farage is the only person talking any sense at the moment. People like Skinner and Brand will say anything to sound clever, but they're not.
@@truthseeker7794see this is the thing though. You wouldn’t hold this opinion if you didn’t support farage so your opinion on it is irrelevant because you’re biased. I know nothing of farages policies and all I see is a comedienne making a joke to get a laugh because it’s her job
@@lbnewell23 Agree with you. Farage is not someone known for cultivating compassion and inclusivity. Like it or not, he is someone who encourages division and xenophobia through his policies and ethos, and if he's going to take that divisive route, he can expect some backlash.
@@truthseeker7794 Farage is trying to make us fight each other, same as Trump, that makes no sense to me. Blaming everything on the EU and immigration, is lazy. Like it or not, just like the USA, the UK is a country built on immigration. That will never change, as any serious politician knows that immigrants help the country, not hinder it. Who works harder, the lazy people born in the UK, or those that come from a country that they had to flee from, often risking their lives to get here? Having worked in the NHS, I know the answer to that one. Yes, there are exceptions to the rule, but the NHS has had to recruit immigrants for decades now. If we seriously want to close our borders, we have to level up the world first and make those born here want to do the tough and often low paid jobs, an impossible task.
@@truthseeker7794 lol Farage the guy who hates immigrants and conjures up loads of racist anti immigrant and anti European rhetoric..."talking any sense"...you mean saying things you happento agree with whether they're based on evidence or truth or any kind of rational logic.he appeals to the lowest common denominator. Also as for not knowing anything about him...the man views and opinions are well known and so is his background and totally false appearance of being a "man of the people down the pub with a pint" when he was educated at a top public school and is a multi millionaire who picks on the most vulnerable people in the world.
Yeah there would be an outrage I hate this double standards thing to everybody deserves respect regardless of gender and it needs tae stop being able tae dae what they want just because there women
Erm..shows of men on TV being derisory of women on TV? NO! That could ever happen could it. If it did it would definitely, definitely be a British first, wouldn't it? 😅😅
@@drum253 I'll assume that your talking about the past ! And therefore COMPLETELY missing the point. There are certainly no shows on TV now that talk about women in such derisive ways as this show does about men. Its reverse sexism. Just because women were treated like objects and idiots in the past, does not mean it's ok to now do the same to men. Its supposed to be EQUAL rights.
The problem with "civility" is the same as the problem with "equal rights" - it tends to mean sending people who have been stolen from and harmed and have to work twice as hard every day into interactions with people who have money, good luck, and lawyers, and both people have a piece of paper that says they are "equal before the law." Justice requires differentiation, not bland self serving assertions of sameness. So Jo Brand said a thing... meanwhile what Farage does materially harms thousands daily. These are not two sides in a timeless vacuum, one is reacting to a prior threat posed by Farage's racist and classist lies.
He defends Jo brand and yet was annoyed at the duchess of Edinburgh's comments to him, double standards I think.
