Stacey, this is simply one of the best recorded versions out there-your English version has been on my “Aguas de Marco” playlist for years. Essentially, a flawless interpretation.
Also, please let the saxophonist (or whoever made the choice) know that I LOVE his harmony up a third at the end of his solo, which inspired me to begin playing it that way.

C'est admirable comment "Águas de Março" ne perds pas aucun sens poétique et musical quand traduit du Portugais au Français - au contraire, on dirait même! Une sensibilité poétique pareille.
It's amazing that this song doesn't lose any of its poetical and musical character when translated from Portuguese to French. It's a similar poetical sensibility, more difficult to translate to English.

After ages listening to (and loving) this song in Portuguese, English and Spanish versions I just found this OUTSTANGING French version.
Even though each version is good...............................
I can surely tell the French adaptation is the closest to the original one in emotion, aesthetic, phonetic, and Beauty.
