It's just a rebadged Renault Clio / Dacia Sandero with other looks, nothing japanese about this car.

FrostyMoonBlue its stupid, its 2017, cars are coming with bluetooth, radar guided cruise control, lane departure warning, keyless entry and companies are charging like 20k their city car - then they have the nerve to put keep fit windows in the back! Eh? Where did that logic come in?! I've a 15 year old honda civic that is second from top of the range and it has electric windows in all corners AS STANDARD 😂
FrostyMoonBlue Reason behind why it has those features is probably because they want a 5 Star EuroNCAP rating.
You can only get 4 star and above if you have some crash safety systems as standard. Don't know why they haven't got electric windows though.

And why would you need electric rear windows? You will never need it and it's just more stuff able to break, expensive to produce and to repair.
I bought this car about 2 weeks earlier, its connecta equipment, 1.5 dci, 90 hp, for about 14.800 euros, and i gotta tell you guys.. its awesome. Its not really that small ,its got a lot of space for passengers, for a diesel engine, you cant hear absoulutely no noise in cabin, its economic, about 5.6 litres in the city, and 3.5 on the open road.. so far im really impressed, and im really enjoying my choice! :-)

And for the money you get very nice interiour trim, a huge screen, speakers, auto break, lane departure warning and a 360 degree camera. You pay for this flashy stuff, if you want the top model. Btw who the hell needs to open the rear windows anyway? I would cut the costs there, too.
I would miss a armrest, too. But in the end it's a city car not made for hour long trips anyway. I don't need to rest my arm on the way to the mall.

Sirion i open the rear windows all the time. gives better air flow, i use my arm rest all the time. the fiesta, the polo have both and even the new Ka+ gets rear electric windows.

I have been driving one for two years and like the way it drives. The suspension feels good especially on the highway. I agree with Mat that on the highway it feels like a much larger car.

A nice little car. Should be reliable being a Nissan, even though it is built in France! Wouldn't pay £20k for it mind - the basic version starts at £12k , which is far more reasonable.
Kudos to you for showing the "boot" as you British people call it. And for pointing out the terrible lift over and seats that fold nowhere near flat. The US reviewers rarely do that. If someone's buying a hatchback, there's a good chance they want to carry things, so seeing it matters.
I know Americans call it trunk because back when I lived in Italy we went to a birthday party in an SUV but there were 6 people so the mother sat in the boot and said "mommy in the trunk" lol
The old base micra was better under 10k new and was all manual, nothing could go wrong

Thanks for your nice review of cars, I do like your way of making an evaluation of different cars, however it will make people who aren't using imperial units understands better if you can also introduce consumption of fuel in how many liters for 100KM. And if there is a electronic boot door or roof, please test whether it stops or not when objects are in their way of closing and how big the force will be, banana or cucumber can be a good scale. Thank you.
Nissan hate rear doorbins. I remember when I was abroad I got a taxi in a Nissan Teana a few times. This is the car which is supposed to be an executive saloon. And guess what - it had no rear doorbins whatsoever
I own a K13 and I believe that I will keep it till the K15 generation will comes along. In my K13, I have an armrest, better back headroom and still the K14 doesn't the improvements i would wish, like windows switches etc...
Please do a review on top ten discontinued cars that are worth buying.

found one with 8k miles, top of the range, do bose and all that, for 150 month. not bad
Just bought one very comfortable
I like design and look and everything about MIcra. I am an owner of 1990. Sunny Nissan, so u can imagine that everything here looks new to me, and more adnaced no matter what everyone says about something. My old NIssan still drive, no need for anything, just put the gas and drive, but it's old and I need an improvement. Micra might be perfect as I am Nissan lover.

Because Nissan engines are made by renault,and we all know how "long" a renault lasts lol!
Especially the 1.5 Dci is shit,trust me on that!
Even cars with 20.000 kms on dashboard have issues(electrical,mechanical).
And the repairing is always covered by the owner,despite the fact that you still have warranty!
In other words,avoid Nissan and Renault!
I miss the Nissan Note already. Why the hell did they discontinue it in Europe?! It seemed to sold well, and was loved by many. Very nice to drive, good cargo space, nice looking...The dealer told me that this new Micra would take it's place, it obviously isn't a replacement.
I still have my Nissan Note. It is nearly 9 years old, I plan to keep it until at least 2024 then buy an electric car - possibly the Nissan Micra or the Tesla Model 2 - whatever they are called.

most of the down sides for me are just nitpicks, no electric windows, and no door holder on the back are not a problem at all, at least for me

Please make a new review with the new 1.0 turbo petrol engine which is also optional with a CVT.
The Micra is priced from £12:000 if you want air con and met paint and a few extras it's £13:500 so it's not that expensive, the new Polo and fiesta are going to be over £13:500 in there basic specks, check out a Micra visia plus.
Nice! Waiting 4 this thing in non Japan Asian markets.....and oh pleease release the Nismo model with at least the Clio RS's motor to be sold globally.....

Micra has not been changed to Gen4 in Indonesia. They have no LCD infotainment, BOSE audio and isofix. Micra, or March as it called, they just have two airbags in driver and front passanger.

The previous generation of this car was a completely non-descript, anonymous econo box, and with this one it seems that they wanted to take it in a completely new direction, i.e. make it look stylish, modern and fashionable, which is also why it's so expensive. It's all fine, but I don't know if people's perception of Micra can be changed with just one generation. For many it's just a small economy car, and now it's supposed to be almost like a fashion statement, like Fiat 500? It might be a flop, which would be a shame, since it's a nice(not flawless) car.

Which car is better- Micra or Renault Clio?
This car CAN have an armrest, the thing is... It's optional. It's around 80€ more.
And 20k... People that's the RECOMENDED PRICE, Nissan WILL NEVER sell, and so far has never sold, any Micra here in Portugal for over 20k€ aside from the top range disel with the car pretty much fully customized.
I bought a 0.9cc 90cv Acenta with a lot of add-ons, including rear parking sensors and camera, Bose speakers on top of the driver's seat, side and front embellishes, 17inch alloy wheels, Shark fin antenna and an armrest for only 15,5k € (this is around 14k british pounds) and the Fiesta and Polo here, with around the same specs are 2k€ more expensive...
And while it's pretty subjective... The car looks gorgeous...
The only BIG issue, which I do recognize, is that those backwindows are not electric... Which is indeed a MASSIVE shame since this is 2018 and top of the range model not having something like that is a big let down... But some people, me included can be ok with that.

You didn't mention that Nissan has retained the CD player ! This is a HUGE selling-point considering that 7 out of 10 car drivers want that facility. . After 4 great Fiestas, I'm now moving over to this Nissan car - specifically because of the CD facility. (Ford have dropped CD players).
Sales of CDs may be declining, but I - & millions of others - have hundreds of CDs that we still want to play.
