One of my favorite shows growing up.
yea it was a great show back then..
not saying it still isnt
Me too
My mom said I'd watch it every day when I was a tot. Still love Card Sharks.
@@Spaethon as a 17 year old gen z, im just finding out this even exist. you guys seem to have had some good game shows back then
I was watching this back in the day whenever I was sick or on vacation from school.
I think Bob Eubanks was probably the best personable Game Show host ever!
He just seem to be able make the "contestant" embarrassed with the questions he asked them without actually embarrassing them too much! 😳
Ala the Newlyweds!
With Card Sharks, he was a lot more subtle but still the "Imp"😉 that made him such a good Game Show Host! He's right up there with Alex Trebek!👼
🦂🥂
Sometimes I like to spend an afternoon watching game shows on UA-cam.
I Loved watching Card Sharks Growing up.
Boy the champion looked young.
One of the classic game shows need to bring it back on tv
CBS had this game show. Bob Eubanks had his microphone, before he walked on stage.
Card sharks and tic tac dough was my favorite growing up I miss the 80s.
I remember this game show, was on KCBS 2 in 1986.
What a sweet young lady Amy is!
Thanks for this game
The four suits of cards are so handsome on this show. LOL 😀😄😀
Love Lacy & Susanna's outfits on these seasons of the series! Would love to see more of them!
Lawdy. Micro skirt.
When the car begins on October 27, 1986 new wardrobes begins.
@@facebook51ify This season is on Prime via Buzzr and it looks like HD!
More of their bodies or in general 😂
@@facebook51ify Is that when the hemlines we lowered to back before Bob Eubanks hosted the show? You can tell that the short outfits weren't "glorified cheerleader outfits", by the way that the ladies responded when Bob asked them about them.
In Indonesia this quiz is called Super Rezeki 1 Milyar (One Bilion Super Gift) aired on antv in 2006-2007.
They should do a show where they find winners of old game shows and do a where are they now. Would be interesting.
I saw a version of the Newlywed Game where they briefly had a brief bonus round in which the winning newlyweds played a question against a couple of "goldyweds", a couple that had formerly been newlywed champions. (I didn't care for that version of the Newlywed Game, but I found that "goldywed" bonus round intriguing.
Another great game show that should be rebooted!
I was tried but sucked eggs.
no they shouldnt. They tried it in 2001. Let's not speak of that horridness
The RetroGamer if they came out with another updated version, hopefully, it would resemble this version and not 2001
Clinton Kelly should be the host
@Brandon Bennetzen Sure like the 'Double Whammy' in Press Your Luck when things come falling down on the contestants.
Amy was crushing it!
I took one look at Amy and thought this must be "Kid's Week".
Love this game
Congratulations Amy 😊🎉
I always thought if it was the same card turned over, it should be a push, not a loss. That seems unfair for it to be a loss.
Especially when it stands between the player and the Money Cards (but even on the Jim Perry version on NBC, duplicates were incorrect answers, not just in the game, but also on the Money Cards; it wasn't until 1980 that the rule was changed where there was no benefit or penalty for a duplicate in the Money Cards, which is how it was here on CBS w/Eubanks, and in syndie w/Rafferty [the main-game loss of control penalty for duplicates has always remained unchanged]).
Back in the days when game shows were the prime. These days are overhyped, only Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune are the good ones today.
I'll agree on Wheel, but "Jipardy" splits way too many hairs.
The Price Is Right is still pretty great
Well, hello from a June Moon 1969 baby. It was the best year!
I agree with you about Jeopardy. Wheel of Fortune got too weird on me.
you forgot The Price Is Right
Ty for download enjoying this new sub 😊
AWESOME Video. 😀👍.
Considering the recent revival was done at the OTHER CBS (Studio Center) this could've been the technical staff if it taped there from the outset (for 1986 standards):

Stage Managers CHRIS KLAUSEN, MILES KRISTMAN, JONATHAN WEISS
Technical Director BOB JONES
Director of Photography (e) MIKEL NEIERS
Audio MICHAEL BALLIN

Cameras ROCKY DANIELSON, SAM DRUMMY, GARY EMRICK, GREG HARMS, IRV WAITSMAN
Videotape Editor JOHN T. DOUTT
Make-Up JIM RUFFINO

Hair Stylist SYLVIA SURDU

Exactly like Play Your Cards Right here in UK

I know right .
What a doll Amy is. I wonder what she did with her life.
WTXF TV 4 was CBS (now Fox)
Changing a card on a four or a five is somewhat a bad move.
what i was thinking. but then again the next number was a two so a high card would have won, but how would you even know that?
CBS had this show, with Bob Eubanks as host.
Debut of remixed theme music - trumpets and more prominent drums added.
Now if only we could find it on the good ol' internet, that'd be great.
This remix was cool 😎
How long did that remix last, BTW?
@@bmasters1981 10 episodes!
"Thats enough"
*continues screaming for 5 hours*
I heard this quote from Bill Cullen, "I haven't heard that kind of reaction since free dish give away at the local burlesque show. Coffee cups, teacups and C cups." lol
Amy didn’t look old enough to be in college, more like freshmen in high school. Anyway, that’s a pretty good amount of money, it certainly went a long way in 1986. Anyone know where Amy is now?
That's a great question. I hope she's still living?
At that age back then, I am sure she is. Looks can be deceiving my friend.
Id say shes 60 years old. Higher or lower?
@@jennysimmons5828 Lower...52 🙂
@@jennysimmons5828 53 now
They only did poems when Jim Perry hosted.
she deserved that money. she played well.
I have watched the British version called play your cards right
97 out of 100 women who are pregnant are married? Lol wonder what that number is in 2020.

57
Just curious on how they did the money cards display on how much money they had and their winnings?
Amy look like she 12
One stupid rule I hated about Card Sharks was that if a person bet higher or lower and the next card was the same, you automatically lose, which was just stupid.
In other words, if you got a tie, you automatically lose.
For example, if you have the highest card in the Hoyle Hierarchy, which is an Ace, you bet lower, and the next card was an Ace, you automatically lose.
Likewise, if your current card is a 2, lowest in the Hoyle Hierarchy, you bet higher and next card is a two, you also automatically lose.
If Card Sharks got rid of the stupid "tie rule", and make the contestant automatically win if there's a tie, the game would be more exciting.
Jim Perry should be ashamed of himself there.
Two things…
1: That rule was changed in late 1980, and a “tie” card was referred to as a “push”. No win, no loss.
2: Why should Jim Perry be ashamed of himself? He didn’t make the rules. He just hosted the show.
That brunette model is now the casting director for “bachelor.”
Card Sharks Bob Eubanks 🤵♂
That is jammy I have to say
Card Sharks originally televised on CBS
Actually, it originally aired on NBC from 1978-1981, then went to CBS from 1986-1989
I LOVE LACEY AND SUSANNA OUTFIT AND YOUR PANTYHOSE AND YOUR 👗 TOO
Oh, those legs!
Thomas W I assume you’re referring to the models, Suzanna and Lacey.
Absolutely gorgeous. Back when women dressed right instead of the garbage they wear today.
The models, right? They foine!
15:21 Nah. If a guy is secure he doesn't care what other men think
anyone else wonder how long he was going to hold her hand? not much drama in this game, picking high or low is pretty obvious.
Is this the first time in this run they started at the Money Cards?
To lose on the big bet and get 6400 is huge...she made one bet ..was that a 6...6000 higher...gutsy
After all that.
I think it was still a good game at the Money Cards. She won more money than she already had won before.
That's because she had $12,800 going in, and the rule says you have to bet at least half of what you had to that point, so she was in a pretty good position where she was, even if she drew a 7 before the Big Bet.
It was
Out of curiosity, if anybody knows, why did they deal out the base card for the initial setup on this version rather than dealing out all seven cards before the base card?
this was a very early episode, the way the cards were dealt somewhat evolved over time. I think they dealt the base card last sometime in early 87 but I'm not totally sure.
Maybe they were trying to avoid being accused of dealing from the bottom of the deck.
Versão do Jogo Mais ou Menos Domingo 4 da Tarde Apos o Domingo Legal 1995-1996
I find it unfair that pushes on sudden death force a decision rather than just feed another card into it to force a choice to force the player to accept the consequences of their answer rather than a cop out from a draw.
In an earlier version, a same card pull made the player loose his turn. This is at least an improvement on that.
16:06 slap me some skin friend
whats amy doing nowadays
I don't know, but I actually recognize her, 32 years later.
Who are those girls in the tennis outfit with tons on buttons on their tops supposed to be?
The dealers here on the CBS Eubanks CS, Lacey Pemberton and Susanna Williams (they also wore these outfits with Bill Rafferty in syndie for a time); they would later drop this look and go to a series of rotating looks that, it would seem, varied by the week.
Jim Perry was a better, cuter host of this show. I watch this show on Buzzr
#listen, if ##Shardai Young don't break all the rules, she missing all the fun.
Any cartomancers watching this?
This game had too many rules. I couldn't understand it as a kid.
where did they ask the pregnancy question - salt lake city? nowadays it'd be 97% not married... :(
I still say those decks were stacked occasionally. You never saw the deck "Cut" by either contestant like they did in the earliest editions. The producers were the cheater$.
So there's 4 cards higher then a 10 and 8 that are lower yet u chose to switch
Sea food boil
I miss white America
Ew stfu
No Mexicans everywhere
Two of the most annoying contestants on any game show ever.
OMG, Jim Perry is REALLY needed. This is so boring without him.
