Old lol was so cool and creepy. I love the details like the torches and decorations in the jungle. Especially with headphones the ambience gives me a shivery vibe
Classic what? What patch number? Nobody could ever agree on what is "classic" LoL. It's not like WoW which had clear break points with expansions. All of LoL's content has been dropped in small increments every couple of weeks. There's no line to draw as to what is classic and what is not.

I can see myself coming home from school and starting to play 1 or 2 normal games. When night came, 9 p.m., start playing some ranked, to go up to gold 3. To play in the position you wanted, you needed to be quick and write in the chat "mid pref, supp pref". I used to play support, I remember using sona, nami, janna. My PC was running at 25 or 30 fps, and I still enjoyed the game, there wasn't much toxicity back then. And on the weekends? It was time to watch the LCS, team curse, tsm, and then continue playing ranked all weekend. More than 10 years have passed since all those moments that will never come back, and the passage of time surprises me a little more every day. We were happy with so little.

This is so cool seeing how the rift has changed, and also how it hasn’t. Lux’s splash and blitzcranks model being the exact same is neat to see. Makes me appreciate them now, like glimpses into the original game I never got to play. And lore wise, base being teleportation runes makes so much sense, maybe I never noticed them bc these are more vibrant. The rift feels more alive, but more dangerous here. So awesome
It sounds strange but i remember being so sad and dissapointed when they removed the old map. When i look at it now, it feel's somewhat hollow and uneasy, as if you don't know what kind of dangers lurk there, it almost feel's empty, or you have that gut feeling that somebody or something is watching you, the music feel's so good by giving those vibes.
old map has just so much character and nostalgia its also kinda edgy and over the top but in a good way they really need to bring an old school mode back where u can also play good old 3v3 (i mean the real 3v3, not the newer one that sucked)

Same. It gave me the old Warcraft vibe, even down to the music. It sounds much more sinister and if you watch it blind, you could legit thought this was Warcraft. Absolutely. You could play anybody in any lane and actually have fun. You could be creative with runes and masteries. I remember spending 27K IP on Crit Dmg runes for Gangplank, just to play him support and go for the early game 20% CHANCE to do 80% of the enemy adc’s health down, with one Parlay 😆

Comparing this in 2022 with the current style of the game, I have to say I prefer the "old" style of the map. It is way more atmospheric and give me those immersive vibes...todays map is so sterile and "clean"...I dont know. I like the old style more. And that is not "nostalgic" or something. I just started playing 2 years ago.

Played back in season 2 and when they updated the map to what we have now I was so sad. New map feels so lifeless, too bright, no immersive atmosphere and the colors are so bland. Old map had that feeling of having an actual forest and I loved that

Old league has superior atmosphere. It has that fun feel to it. Modern league map makes gaming boring too quick. The fun spirit is not there. I think the right term is "pale". It made playing feel too repetitive because of the stony atmosphere.

people were earnest back then. tbf, something happened to the internet and to where everyone is actually more toxic. but it's not the words used, it's their attitude. people back then did not 'flame' just to flame, they were just conversing. now it's just flame. no one takes chat seriously, they just assume the other person is 'flaming' and usually it is, but only because of the attitude towards it. it is the same as when people said internet was different in 90s, 2000s or whatever. it's not the words, the attitude was different. i think part of it is maybe due to the point system. someone gets more points so therefore they "won" the argument. and now conversation is about who gets more points, to where someone who doesn't want to speak that way gets secluded. 'influencers' somewhere is backed up by such a popularity point system. maybe if reddit was removed, people wouldn't have such a mob mentality towards the game. no one would feel entitled for having a popular thought or think they are right just for following the popular consensus.

The orange and green colors make the game feel so much spookier than the new map. Also its wild how Ashe looks so much better in this map than she does now. My poor girl needs a visual update so bad.
I started playing late season 10, and watching this is such a surreal experience. I can tell what I'm looking at but it all feels so _weird_ and raw. But in a good way, now I feel like league has a very plastic and corporate feel to it.

Especially if they wipe you out early, you requeue and are back playing in a couple of minutes, reasons why wild rift is even more fast paced than pc league, i miss those 60 minute 300+ cs games.

A lot of people get upset by the chat nowadays. You say anything and they will take it as a hidden insult. Sad!
people were earnest back then. tbf, something happened to the internet and to where everyone is actually more toxic. but it's not the words used, it's their attitude. people back then did not 'flame' just to flame, they were just conversing. now it's just flame. no one takes chat seriously, they just assume the other person is 'flaming' and usually it is, but only because of the attitude towards it. it is the same as when people said internet was different in 90s, 2000s or whatever. it's not the words, the attitude was different.
i think part of it is maybe due to the point system. someone gets more points so therefore they "won" the argument. and now conversation is about who gets more points, to where someone who doesn't want to speak that way gets secluded. 'influencers' somewhere is backed up by such a popularity point system. maybe if reddit was removed, people wouldn't have such a mob mentality towards the game. no one would feel entitled for having a popular thought or think they are right just for following the popular consensus.
@@mescellaneous I dont know what server you played but euw was so toxic during this era especially in ranked with pick order and all that, although I do have to say people flamed the fuck out of you but then added you after the game and all was forgiven. Nowadays people add you just to flame you more even when its over the dumbest thing

The orange and green colors make the game feel so much spookier than the new map. Also its wild how Ashe looks so much better in this map than she does now. My poor girl needs a visual update so bad.

I started playing late season 10, and watching this is such a surreal experience. I can tell what I'm looking at but it all feels so _weird_ and raw. But in a good way, now I feel like league has a very plastic and corporate feel to it.

thats true.. back then there was in the client a message game time 30-45 min and i had matches with over 1 hour..
nowdays riot games wanted faster games... all new items with high attack and stuff like herald and drakes with buffs... nowdays games are like 15-30 min
@@TheYaq gamers nowadays especially younger ones are way more fast paced, with matches in games like fortnite having an average time of what 5 to 10 min? Especially if they wipe you out early, you requeue and are back playing in a couple of minutes, reasons why wild rift is even more fast paced than pc league, i miss those 60 minute 300+ cs games.

Why am I WATCHING this after 11 years?
I was there in this period of Time enjoying season 3 with my friends, than went to Dreamhack and lost on first match against The team who almost won in The finals. Lol was so much better back than. 😊
Honestly this feels way more pleasing to my eyes than current league. Idk what it is but it feels really homey and neat.
