2008 me watching this and getting my socks blown off2018 me watching this and still getting my socks blown off
this whole opener a damn banger.
man mike is such a creative writer. he really innovated with this book.
these will forever remain my favorite beats.
Wow, great writing, even better playing! Love the Bluecoats drumline.
The center snare plays with the biggest balls ive ever seen...we're talking elephantitis here
that's why i want to be a band director. seeing drill ideas and music stuff come to life...that'd be awesome
I watch this video every couple weeks and it never gets old. I absolutely love Mac's writing.
I still watch it lol
This is still so sick. All the layering of rolls and trading between sections is on point!
this is the definition of piss clean. favorite segment from my favorite show ever.
Man the look on that mans face makes you feel so proud of yourself damn I miss drumline
Love it when he says "That's sweet" in time at 1:07
"That's sweet"
Man, mike prolly got invited to some barbeques with the amount of groove he has.
My high school bought these drums in '09. They're pretty nice.
babblicious we still march them, I march center tenor lol
WTF are the tenors doing starting at 2:25!?!!? And this opener is the reason i love Mac's writing. Technical, groovy and ballsy
no Tim writes every quad book in world class, my friend told me and he knows a guy who went to a blue devil rehearsal once and talked to a guy that once audition at BD when Tim was there.totally credible source.
i love the dialogue between snares and tenors around 1:12
@ddogb789 he was referring to the basses and the snares because mcintosh rights the snare and bass parts while tim rights tenors.
Holy shit, that's nice.
yuuup hahaha. He's lovin his own beats!
Thank you bass drums :3
why is this video so underviewed?
@rikuantu Actually. Tim Jackson never worked with Mike. He came to the staff in 2009 after Mac left. And he doesn't write, Tom Rarick writes now.
Hahahah Mike is getting into it
1:08 is sweet.
is that Jim Cambell in the background?
Looks like it!
favorite part @1:06-1:10 McIntosh's head bob :)
Some of the beats really feels like SCV 97, am I right? 2:09 - 2:16
@rikuantu Tim who?
There is one at 1:18 and another one at 2:20
@stixx1492 tim jackson.
Mac roll at 1:09. jesus
Watch his head at 1:09 on the rim shot
At times, Mac looks like he's about to puke. Probably because the beats are so sick!
Yeah years latter I find out.. :( my bad. Sorry for looking arrogant..
this is the shit
So much 97 SCV writing in there!!!!
Youre write, however Tim doesnt and didnt write for bluecoats in particular. Indoor is another story.
Look at the comments date dude. Things change.

I have no idea why people love this so much. Do they just love it because it’s the Bluecoats? This writing is so incredibly boring and unmemorable.
Is that someone’s front yard lol
