At around the 3-minute mark, it was already starting to sound a bit like a square wave fuzz, but still with note separation somehow. Very cool.
Yeah, it can get really filthy all while retaining clarity. Just a super rad pedal

No. But you could probably get there if you push it into an EQ pedal set to accentuate 900-1000hz

Of course I don't. There's very little in life I NEED to do, but a lot of things I do because they make sense to me. In this case I'm taking in to account that for every video posted there's gonna be a lot of new viewers who have no experience with who I am or what this channel is. Besides that, I think there's a nice flow in how a presentation of me leads over to a presentation of the pedal. Hope that explains it :) In regards to Whammy DT, I don't have any personal experience with that pedal. But pitch-shifting and harmonizing are always great effects to use in an ambient context. Some things to be aware of with the DT though is that to my knowledge it isn't polyphonic, at least the Whammy section. It doesn't have the same Chords mode like the Whammy 5 and Whammy Ricochet do. Hope that helps ☺

Despite being a clean pedal , if you don't know how to regulate it, it becomes polluted.

Save the money and just buy a Rat pedal
If you want the sound of a RAT, you should get a RAT. If you want the sound of the Death Drive, you should get the Death Drive. Easy as that. Both are great pedals and they cater to different people.
I’ve had this pedal for a couple of years and it’s nothing like a rat or the drv. It’s quite solid state amp like. Like an old peavey that sells for a fortune nowadays.
I think it makes your guitar and amp sound like a $49 Walmart guitar and amp package. The makers should be jailed.

@@Neil-Aspinall That's totally fine, man. We're not supposed to like everything in life. If something tries to cater to everyone, it will cater to no one. So it's nice that these weird little boxes full of wires and diodes can make us feel different things, and find their own following out there in the wild world of music.
