Yeah they aren’t no slouch even when still stock. I’ve got the Aristo (the original chassis for the 2jzgte, also known as the 4door Supra) and it flies.
This car sounds so good when stock. So rare. Im little bored with all those supras make ratatata and over 1000hp. It is impressive but damn, look at this factory car. Such a diamond

I remember when this came out. I had a Mark II Supra at the time, and this was way too expensive for me to get. I did test drive one though, and loved it.

I had one for 20 years manual gearbox, stock one, it had a speed limiter at 255 km/h from factory and was faster than this one. My was red but i like this colour. Miss this fast car.

What a fantastic machine. Having driven a 100% stock supra, then at different power stages is an amazing experience.
That gearbox is very fucking decent. I dont know why so many people hate auto's nobodys hand is shifting fasten than that
Yeah, auto looks ok because he is un the motorway but in back roads wasn't that good.
6 speed MT of supra was one of the BEST back un the day, with close gear ratio, achieving stock top speed at 6th close to 6k rpm.
So even tough the auto was allright, the MT made the car much more lively specially in winding roads. Even of you weren't pushing It, It felt much better ratio wise.
It was a 4 speed which is why it's kinda shit. That's old autos for you. Obviously the ZF8 is better than a manual today.
I would have never guessed that a stock Supra sounds so civilized!

now you can swap these to a zf8. Pretty solid.

@@Saif0412 yeah, i'd assume the zf8 is more straight forward and less expensive though, can handle more power too. DCT definitely going to be more fun though.
Because my 94 Integra LS vtec with a couple of bolt ONS pushing only 180 to the wheels is just as fast this automatic supra

Well the Manual in thie car is just know to be really really strong. However for its time this Auto box is pretty quick for its time
@@gyula6516 that's what I was thinking, it shifts quite quick for such an old transmission. The auto transmissions in those times were so sluggish.
This is a rare find, 28 years old, 330hp as standard, not tuned to death and in immaculate condition. And with the steering wheel on the left. They're being offered for sale, but often imported from Japan, with hideous bodykits, steering wheel on the wrong side, 280hp because Japan, etc.
I bet this car is worth more than its tuned to death counterparts with 1000hp.
The JDM version didn't actually have 280hp, they were just rated as such on paper because of the gentleman's agreement that Japanese manufactures back then had. Stock JDM Supras have been dynoed @ 315 hp (flywheel). JDM 2JZ-GTE do differ a bit from non JDM. JDM 2JZ-GTE's have different camshaft, smaller fuel injectors and ceramic turbo's. The JDM 2JZ-GTE was tuned for better response and low end torque than the non JDM versions.

Top stuff as always from AutoTop NL. Love my auto too. It may be a bit slow to get up to 100kph but where it shines is that 100 - 180kph range where you just mash your foot. Amazing from a 4 speed auto with overdrive.
Impressive how easily it gathers momentum, in spite of being stock.
Stock supras are pretty rare, nice.

I like this car.. factory setup can cruise 265km/h with smooth engine.. i think this is more comfortable
with a basic 1990s BPU formula, a stick twin Supra can be transformed from a low 13 second 1/4 mile car to a low 11 second car with simple bolt-on modifications while retaining the stock turbos.
low 13s must be BPU+ and running @ 1.4 bar boost and that is not very heathy for the stock turbo's

Overdrive is for freeway and commuting,think of it like comfort mode
