So welcome to another tips and tricks Rust video. This time we are covering the homemade landmines in rust but more specifically, is it possible to raid with them?
Home made land mines are probably the most economical way to raid in rust in 2023 and they can be placed on any foundation with TC (tool cupboard) access.
The homemade landmines will do 20 damage per mine and can destroy any sheet metal, roller door or armoured door in no time. The land mines also create splash damage so you can push the range of them out to decent lengths to make them worth while.
If you want to get mines nice and cheap you can craft them or find them in locked crates or scientists. If you want to craft homemade landmines you will need a level 2 work bench.

They really are extremely underrated at causing more problems than they solve, usually, but I never thought about that raiding strategy before. Much better than littering my backyard for defence and forgetting they are there lol
I just posted a video on my channel of me and my friend doing this. He went deep and got their tc. So he could place the mines. It so nice to raid with them because you can seal and not have any counters

I discovered the other day you can land a mini on a landmine and hop off safely..but the next person that trys to take the mini. KaboOM !
Same with a horse if u perfectly like up one of (or both) their sets of hooves

So once you have already raided your way to the tool cupboard, you can then use mines lol so at what point do you start raising with these
Ran out of explosives, eco raided the first bit, finishing off someone else's raid, finishing a decayed base.... Tons and tons of reasons
not worth it... and the mines are the loudest explosive in game
If you don't have level 3 explosives it's well worth it... Each to their own I guess 🤷♂️
@@FingerMyCod by the time you exploded 13 mines for metal sheet door , you will have half of the server waiting for you hahahah
@@Zerifu same as if you use C4 or Explosive rounds... Mines take longer but they're dirt cheap and only need level 2. They're definitely a valid option
@@Zerifu they will definitely be aware of the sound but I don't think as many folks will seek out the 'hubbub' of mines as would satchels, rockets C4. It might be lowkey genius cause most gamers associate mines with trap bases n roleplayers... Right?
its easy to think that after watching this, but how many times have you ever went right to a land mine sound? im sure youve done it before, but on average it cant be a lot.
