In the UK, each AMoE has to have a postage stamp. Given that on discounted sites, 50 2nd class are £30, it isn't worth it for just 50 entries. Especially when you can get bundles.
This is a wonderful video. Very cool way of introduction to probability mathematics.
Yeh, I've done this for every "experience" for about a year and still have never received any email or phone call stating I've won... If that's not increasing my probability of winning then I don't know what is... I'm not going to reveal how but if you know how to perform online investigations on individuals you'll come to the conclusion that people with a "relative" amount of limelight are often selected as winners, I've noted some Authors, other UA-camrs and quite successful business owners. There are however some people that I can't find anything on so those could likely be ordinary people that don't share publicly. From the data I've gathered it's about a 50/50 mix which is a little concerning to be entirely honest... This goes without saying that I've since stopped entering altogether
Congratulations! I was hoping I could win the dinner at The French Laundry. It was a pretty niche prize because not even travel was included, but nope. Ah, well. In nationwide sweepstakes, I've won a trip to Florida, two flat screen TVs, jewelry, and many other wonderful things. So I always expect another win to be in my future, and it's fun to try. 😊
Congrats on your wins! I live in Florida, so I'm on permanent holiday here 😀
@@ProfEssa did you actually win? Do you profit the email they sent you about you winning ? And how did the winning process work
@@alrayanauthentics115 Yes, I won. I'm not sure what you mean by profit though.
The winning process was a simple email, followed up by a phone call.
@@ProfEssa sorry that was a typo I meant do you have “proof” of the email they sent u I’m genuinely curious what email to expect if we do win , i wanna win one of these contests lol. Maybe you can email me a picture of the email looks like ?
@@alrayanauthentics115 I seem to remember it was a pretty generic "Congratulations" email from Omaze. I had to respond with my full name and address to confirm eligibility. Then they will arrange a time to call you...
This doesn't apply to the UK anymore, you have to pay for the expensive entries.
Take your final number and multiply it by 5, since the charities only receive about 20% of the funds. The rest goes to "Omaze". If you raise $20,000 for a charity, you had $100,000 in donations.
Multiply it by 10 because it goes to lawyers before the charity
Apparently it says in the small print if they dont raise the necessary funds from.our donations the raffle doesnt happen but the money isnt returned .....shocking right?
The UK omaze is different I think, it looks like the alternative way to enter only gives you 1 entry haha
Just one of many compelling data points as to why the phrase "Ripoff Britain" appears to be justified 😉
Congratulations!!!
Wow that's really nice
I have a promo code that gives 2000 entries. I also read the official rules and saw that 2000 entries per Alternative Entry application. This confused me because I've been putting in the entry code. When I put the code in, it says 2000 entries successful (in green a font,) but when I just enter without the code it doesn't say that.
so you can absolutely win even if you don’t donate?
Yes
Lol i got a code for every contest gives u thousands of tickets more, I hope it's legit,, it's been saying success but still I'm sus
@@dean1634 well it only tells you how many people donated on the day you donated and doesnt tell how much they donated, therefore its impossible to tell the odds
@@mirlov hm..
Congrats on winning the trip to Hawaii.
Thank you!! It was the trip of a lifetime!
Congratulations on your win!! When entering a number of times they send you bonus entries… how does one redeem them? I’m looking forward to my win. :)
Did you win
Unfortunately this doesn't work in the UK, as to get a single "free" entry you have to send in a postcard, each one needs to be posted separately, and they won't accept any entries delivered by hand, so it's cheaper to just buy your entries, still an interesting video though.
I wish I had you as my professor then, great content!
Unfortunately not if you live in the U.K. as the only alternative is the postal entry.
Hmmm. The UK Omaze AMOE is restricted to entries by mail / post only rather than an online form. I'm now curious as to the rationale behind this?
Cheapest UK postal stamp is 68 pence. 15 entries will cost you £10.20. Buying 15 entries via Omaze online method is £10. So, the No Purchase Necessary description for the entry details on the Omaze website for postal entries is clearly ambiguous, and possibly deliberately so based on what the source of the 'purchase' that statement is referencing (online, or postal stamp). The only advantage postal entries seem to serve then is to allow you to enter with fewer entries than the 15 entry minimum @£10 allowed on the Omaze website I guess, although the fewer of your entries in the mix the worse your odds of winning are yes? 🙂
Is the AMOE method really able to win something? I know they say it in the rules, but Is it real?
Did they remove the 'enter without contributing' section because it's not there?
Great video, thank you so much. Congratulations on your win! Did they contact you by email or phone? Looks like you had a blast. 😁
I got an email :)
@@ProfEssa That's so cool! Did they send the email within a week of the event/contest closing?
@@melissah170 Yes!
@@ProfEssa Thank you again for the video and for answering my questions. Hopefully I'll receive a winner notification one day. 😄🥳
Nice job
Thanks!
Could you please do the same for UK Omaze? I don't think we get the same entries for postal entry.. 🙏
Can you do a similar video but for previous ones for the cars?
Good idea, but I don't have enough material for a second Omaze video right now. Maybe sometime in the future.
What about “Bonus Entries” I am confused. They keep promoting “bonus entires” but what’s the point of them if everyone get 6,000 max entries.
It's marketing. If you have 6,000 entries already, the bonus entries won't count.
If you're max and the payout for bonus entries is just the overhead payment Omaze has to use for marketing most likely.
UK T&Cs :- "Each eligible entry received via the Alternate Method of Entry will be equivalent to a single entry into the Grand-Prize Prize Draw". So that loophole's been closed.
can you donate half and enter for free the other half and get the full 6000 entries?
Yes
Are the donations tax deductible?
What happens if you flill out & submit the alternative entry form more than I just did about 30 times? Do you go from 6k votes to simply 3?
You get 6,000 entries no matter how many times you fill out the form
It is 2k per day, so 3 days you fill the form out to reach max entries (6K).
@@TerryStylez it may be different depending on your location. But I’m in the Midwest US and I can enter the same contest once every minute. So in three minutes, I can max out the points in one contest.
@@TerryStylez its actually per minute so in 3 minutes time you can get the 6k
@@taija5623 go on their website, and choose an experience you want, hit enter now, then scroll through the entry amounts and look just under the largest amount for enter without contributing. Make an entry by filling out the information, verify you're not a bot, then submit. After submitting hit enter again. And at the bottom where you would hit submit it will say "Hang tight.... We're sorry, you can only submit once per minute."
Is the 6,000 entry maximum daily or total for each contest?
Total.
2k entries per 3 days to reach max if you do it without paying.
@@TerryStylez Thank you! Can you do all 6k entries in one day or do you need to spread them out over three days?
@@emmafrankly I have been able to do all 6k entries in one day. It locks you out to one ‘application’ (2k points) per minute. So in 3 minutes you can get 6k points. This is how it’s worked for me for about 9 different contests.
@@jessw3503 did you win?
@@avapilsen Nah, and I didn’t really expect to. But it was free entries so no biggie.
I checked the rules and I do not see the part where the free entry gives you 2000 entries
It does. Read it again
@@aprilwest8066 I don't see an online free method any more, do you have a direct link to it?
If the odds are a trillion to 1 somebody still has to win ..
Yes, but not you... LOL jk 😀
@xtheuknown9351 ..only if a trillion enter...
I liked it better when it was a max 100k entrys per person and the free thing only gave you 100 entrys a min
It’s is for a good cause. I don’t lose sight of that. It’s charity with a chance of winning. Sweet. But yes. I want to to win a house or car. Money would be nice. I give to charities I like first. So you said there is a cap on entries was it 6000? That seems reasonable so the person with unlimited income can’t dominate. I couldn’t compete with that. What I get is someone wins maybe sometime me! 😁
From their website info, if you donate $10, only $1.50 goes to the charity, and then how much of that $1.50 actually goes to those in need?
@@taylorhickman84 exactly 90% of any donation is kept by them.. its effectively a private money making venture, luring in decent folk in by using the word charity ...Add to that the small print states that entries will not be refunded if they dont raise enough monies from the entries ..and cancel the raffle....
Great breakdown sister, so basically there's really no chance (IN MY OPINION) of winning a car, home or money from OMAZE I don't contribute to said charity I'm assuming. Oh well it was fun while it lasted I guess!
You don't know the secret to getting free entries, I guess.
Buy lottery tickets
@@alwaysopen7970 oh I do, I try everything...Goodluck to you all! And GOD BLESS YOUR HEARTS AND FAMILIES!
It must be live to choose a winner
Did you win the omaze trip without spending money, and if you did donate could you tell us how much?
I thought you where bullshitting with the free entries.... I tried it after I donated 100 already. And saw the 2000 extra entries in my profile
Pounds £ in the Uk 🇬🇧 not dollars.
I want to make sure if I win it's not lost in my 21,000 emails 😜💡😭
Calculating wins is Maths yes … But does not Improve your chance of winning , Weather you buy one Ticket or 100 Ticket , The Draw doesn’t work that wat , Every Ticket is classed as one anyway, You see if only One ticket can win then it doesn’t actually matter if you buy One or 100. Maths is Fact, But a Draw is a Draw one Ticket only. The past 7 winners actually only bought one Ticket .
Its the same odds as winning a powerball $1B lottery
i think this is a scam
From their website info, if you donate $10, only $1.50 goes to the charity.
@paydelady..wise lady
Love her locks
Everything is energy. Maths is not relevant here - unless that is what you believe. Then it is true. For you.
❤️🔥 I agree 💯
Heavy
Scam!!!!
scam likely
From their website info, if you donate $10, only $1.50 goes to the charity.
Idk why this video played. Why is your hair like that?
Wtf this scam
Yea Charlize Theron is in on it crazy
Technically this isn't a scam. Omaze is a grant-making institution for said nonprofit organizations. The manner of which prizes are won are questionable. Marketing and sponsorship is managed by Omaze. Celebrities are merely a face to the nonprofit to bring awareness so its a win for them to be sponsored.
@@TerryStylez yeah right
From their website info, if you donate $10, only $1.50 goes to the charity.
