  • This video documents the process of bringing Trackzilla to life. Trackzilla pushes the limits of material handling capabilities. With a record-breaking 100-ft maximum lift height and forward reach of 75 ft, this telehandler is a game-changer in the world of heavy lifting. Xtreme’s first tracked machine tackles rough terrain with ease and can lift up to 50,000 lbs.

The YT algorythm struck again and now i am... Fckin impressed!
I also get to operate telehandlers once in a while, but in my case, its around a pretty small site with many obstacles and light loads.
After seeing this, i feel like a kid again.

I worked at Gene industries. They had track boom lifts years ago. But you don't see them inventing anything like that. Like they said don't need Crain's just hope the operator's are well trained.

How is this telehandler work differently to a Franna mobile crane of the same lifting capacity?
It still needs a dogman for rigging the equipment for the job.
All the container cranes are now reach cranes.

Oh yes. That is a typical answer.
Look at 1:46 - you can see very clearly that this crawler with its 150 lbs and 17 wide has no chance against a decent wind load on the panel.
Americans have a tradition of taking a shirt-sleeved approach to these things and overestimating the capabilities of their equipment.
How was that with the giant crane named Big Blue, that collapsed under wind pressure due to a miscalculated pivot bolt? Them colleagues there were talking just as big as the ones in the video - before the crane collapsed.
      ua-cam.com/video/ZXr1IeWbP10/v-deo.html
You seem to have no idea what torques can act on the chassis of such a device when the wind presses on the load at height.
      Go and study!
