I like this bass a lot. Picked up this exact one, and the 5 string PJ. Probably put Nordstrands in the PJ, but I'm undecided on pickups for the JJ. Stock ones are not too bad, but there is definitely room for improvement.
You'r really an exceptional player - I heard this bass played on another channel, not setup properly and technique lacking, no groove...I'm excited to hear the bass here sounding this good!
My favourite finish would be the sunburst finish 😂🤣and to tonally stretch that bass further, I could have a few holes gouged for the pickup cavity (Fishman Fluence Humbucker 5, white pickup shells) as well as 2 more holes for controls - voila!
I love your red Tshirt! Where can I get one? Oh, and the bass needs the LEL pickup/preamp transplant. The stock electronics are passible with your processing but it could be better. Of course it could be worse, could be raining…Maybe a good backup instrument to take to gigs as is but even then I think you’ll be better off with an “upgrade” on the electronics. I think the bass sounds great for the price. I feel like this; if you can ‘mod’ it; do it. I would change the pickups first. The 2 band sounds good. Change the pickups. I think it’s a great bass for the money and it’s mod friendly.
@@DavidePerrone I agree ‘Nerd.’ But you and I know that people will judge an instrument BASE ON PRICE, which in my opinion is crazy. I played basses that cost $3-5k that sounded like pure crap. My feeling is this; if it feels good to your fingers and sounds great to your ears and don’t have to ‘fight’ with your instrument; THAT’S THE BEST BASS! But yes you’re right. The HB is a great bass compared to the Aria.😌👍🏾
I'm glad there's a review on UA-cam. Does the body of the bass feel heavy? I love the body of the guitar, and I'm not that worried about the way the pickups sound because it's only gonna be used at a home studio. Plus, it can be upgraded if needed. Anyways, I haven't seen any details about the bass guitar's weight on online stores, so I'm curious about that. Thanks in advance!

Nice song, and as a bass player of 41 years. I know every bass player has their own idea of what bass tones they like or need for a particular song. That said. I personally think there’s to much boom in this mix. And sticks out to much.
Can’t hear it on phone speakers with the gospel track. Their electronics have been notably weak in some ranges. Easy fix for a toasted maple, 24 fret neck and solid body.

That bass sounds good in the mix with no touch.
The processed tone was the best.

I'm a stickler for pickup placement. I like the Fender 70 location. Something is off on that bass, I don't really like it.
