    So first I have to tell you the hilarious comment my hubby made. He is off in his corner but can hear your video. You start naming the prices for your drills and all of a sudden I hear " oh my god I've never paid that much for a drill!" After I start breathing again from my outburst of laughter I explain the difference for him! Poor guy. Thanks for that moment! Next I just want to say thank you for the video. I have never used a drill for nails. We learned to do nails with a hand file. Yup I'm that old! Now I'm so allergic to acrylics that I can't even do a simple polish over them. I stick to gels. That being said could you do a video on nail lights. I have only ever used a 36 watt uv light but I have been wanting to change to a Led light. But I'm confused on the wattage. Thanks for any help!

    Thank you Ms Suzie for the enlightenment when it comes to nail drills/bits. I am just starting to learn how to do nails in order to do mine & my daughter's at home. We live in an area where there is no real call for Nail Techs & I refuse to drive over an hour just for fills or repairs.
    Since I enjoy learning how to do new things & doing nail designs, this is right up my alley.

    Hi Suzie!! I really loved this video! I have to tell you, with some embarrassement, that I bought that $50.00 dollar drill! But it came with all those drill bits and you were so informative about how to use them! I LOVED that. hi Suzie I love your videos as they are very helpful, so thank you! I just purchased my first efile "medicool" at Sally Beauty Supply and this was $133.00 with 20,000 RPM and it does my nails great. It doesn't stop even on the lowest speed (for the acrylic filing), I'm surprised even after your comment on getting at least a 25,000. But, all is good even after doing a fill on my moms nails. I'm also looking at going back to school for this even being as old as I am. You are such an inspiration!! I definitely needed info on bits and this was awesome.

    I love your channel, I have been learning SO much! It's funny, I prefer the diamond bit (I am using gels, and still pretty new), especially since it doesn't leave a mark when I run over my cuticles. For me, the sandpaper band things chew my cuticles to shreds and they always end up bleeding, they are even worse than the carbide bits.

    • @asteropi
      @asteropi 7 років тому +2

      +Khai Bui I'm currently researching about nail drills and I was torn between the K35 and the Mani pro, before I saw this video. Can you please explain why K35 is better? Same goes for the passport ones

    • @khaibui3575
      @khaibui3575 7 років тому +10

      asteropaki Mani pro is the cheap drill line from kupa don't get it .passport is portable its alright but at high speed the bit will get loose as when you shorten the acrylic nail with it ,hand piece is a little heavy also the cost . saeyang k38 is portable and the handpiece more lighter made from korea.you will come across a k38 but with the brand freedom ,elite et, pro nail etc but they're actually the same drill rebrand . u can grab one on eBay for like 220 - 270 dollars ,its a pretty good drill imo.1 charge last Me almost a week with heavy usage . the drills worth getting from kupa are the up200 & sup up200 ones made in Japan ,kupa didn't make them ,urawa made them and theyll last a long time . up200 handpiece a little heavier than the super up200 one tho. the k35 one look like the swan drill in the video ,but I recommend getting the k38 portable one .

    • @asteropi
      @asteropi 7 років тому +3

      Well you certainly answered a lot of my questions! Thank you! Because I was completely buffled!
      Now between the Kupa 200 (any of them) and the Ks, which one is better? are they comparable?

    • @khaibui3575
      @khaibui3575 7 років тому +2

      depend on what you want. the urawa up200 / super up200 are table drill ( you can't move them around ) , the sayeang k35 ( swan in the video ) also a table drill . the saeyang k38 is portable and is better if you need to move it around, but if you don't need a portable one i recommend getting the Up200 / super up200 one. it will last you a long time 10+ yrs ,also it is easier to repair. you can send it to kupa for repair , or find any salon supplier near you and i bet they will repair it , ebay also have repair service for the drill cheap $30-35. i do lean more toward the super up200 tho, because it has higher rpm 26k and lighter handpiece compare to the up200 rpm 20k.

    I love your videos! I'm a licensed cosmetologist that would love to eventually break into the nail world and your channel is my go to for new knowledge. It would be awesome to get your opinion on different lamp brands and types. Like this video but for lamps 😁

    I just purchased a cheap practice one for the time being until I can afford a more decent one and get the hang of it.

      Lisa Bibi it was a black drill. I'm not sure what the name is but it's the same as the popular pink one. I'll post the link if I can find it.

      yeah, the pen one. but if you're trying to keep it under $50, I think you can do better than that one. you could get one with the box and pedal.

      right on. they're 30000rpm I believe. if you're a beginner I'd go with the $10 to practice then get the other one. it does a very nice job for the price. I have no complaints. I also got 30 bits for under $3!

    Wow finally someone talks about nail drills. I never know which one to get. Can you explain which bit is good for filling a heel bone? My dad has real thick skin that's needs to come off. I went to an Asian Solon and they did it on my pedicure, I said wow! I gotta get this machine
