It's not even an intense unlike haha. More of a meme. But it started because a few year ago, people online were swearing up and down that Shinobi would be the rider series for 2022.

Best answer I’ve found is that Ex-Aid being video game related makes it the easiest season to explain to someone (from America) brand new to the franchise and just let them jump in.
