Now that we are safe, these videos are even better to watch. Sought out the ownership of our great club, and things can only improve. Eight points deducted and we are safe with three games to go, well done EFC.

Hi Nick, it has previously been said that the reason they didn’t progress further with the first section of barrel cladding was because the east stand roof needed finishing first as it settles when complete. Interesting that they have now started the cladding on the south east corner despite the south stand roof not yet being fully complete, wonder if anyone can confirm the change in thinking?
This surprised me too, especially when you consider the solar panels still need to be added
Iain: it definitely IS a surprise. They set me up to look a fool after several responses to people asking "where next?". I can only assume and I emphasise this is a guess only, not factual, that the immediacy of the work on the mezzanine is considered more important and hazard-free at this point in time. Schedules have to be re-planned all the time. What could reinforce that point of Optimised Scheduling more than the fact that they have only installed half of the non-standard panels on the very outer edge of the NW corner too, to move the crane and jig to the SE corner in preference.
The Solar Panels on the South Stand roof will only be on the central part, and won't extend to either corner, if that makes sense.
@@DarrenCowzer-cx7ot Darren: whilst that is correct, I am not sure how that makes any difference to the point(s) being discussed on this feed.
@davidbadcock2225 - the extra weight from the Solar Panels will be predominantly absorbed by the central part of the South Stand roof, if they extended to the corners, I'm sure that, that change would have impacted the load bearing near the barrel roof cladding, in a bigger way.

John: they're the first 6 of the planned 13 Columnar Elms. the plans show that there will be 7 more root ball pits going along the North perimeter towards the NE corner of the stadium, unless the plans for those other 7 have changed.

Top work again Nick, noticed the end, irregular shaped pieces being added to the North West barrel cladding, also I thought they couldn't start the barrel sections until the roof was complete, so a bit surprised to see the South East started already. Question - will the "blue glass" granite setts extend to the front of the Club Shop, effectively looking like the stadium is floating on what was the original dock?
Great video as always, Nick. Don't know about anyone else, but I got quite emotional after the derby win leaving goodison. Possible last one under the lights. Not sure how I'm going to handle the final game at goodison next season, as much as I'm looking forward to moving to BMD.

Another amazing video. On the East Plaza you can clearly see the dock wall now, bending around to go under the stadium towards the southern end of the east stand. I can't quite tell, but where does the dock wall go under the interior of the stadium? Under the South stand, or does it run under the pitch?
Congratulations on Everton's survival as I really can't see Luton turning around a -17 goals goal difference in the next three matches ... it's looking odds on for BMD opening as a PL stadium as I feel sure your squad will be stronger next season.
Thanks for the great sentiment for EFC but maths may not be your strong point. There are 3 matches left and Luton are 11 pts behind, with an 18 GD deficit).

I don't know everything - who does? - but working in a high school, I think I'd soon be found out and be looking for a new job if I couldn't do even primary school arithmetic.

You can tell BHA MUST have had a terrible season by recent standards when, points deductions-excluding, EFC would be level on points with them. EFC have done well this season all things considered. De Zerbi to leave? Although some expect him to move to a 'bigger club', will BHA want to keep him anyway now that he seems to have stepped out of the all-harmonious line? Who's fancied to lead BHA next season?

Another great video, Nick. Next time, can you show the progress on the installation around the pitch perimeter of utilities to supply the likes of under soil heating, sprinklers & drainage etc.
Mac: it's mostly done, dug and recovered. But they will be digging out the pitch soon enough.

Hi Nick is it just my eyes or does the curves at the left and right hand sides on the back of the north stand where the cladding is fitted do not appear asymmetrical to each other?
Is the lower section of the south stand going to be all safe standing? This would explain that they may increase the ground capacity. A Celtic fan.

Hi mate great video. I always prefer the voice overs but great to see the progress. 2 things for your midweek video.
1. On the western terrace south end it looks like there is one piece still missing but is this a window letting light in instead of the sky lights and will be replicated north end? Seen best at 8:32 of your weekend fly around.
2. Inside the stadium bowl north east corner looks like some steel barriers segregating what will be home/away fans? Seen best at 13:03 of your weekend video.
1) I think they’ll fill that in with a bespoke piece - but could be a window. Sky lights weren’t on the approved final plans - they’re actually stone block seats for fans to admire the view.
2) Yep, railings to separate the away fans 👍🏻
Lee: Dunc's answer is broadly correct but short of the full detail. The "gap" is actually where the terrace support (let's call it a concrete RSJ, for convenience) reaches across where the old Dock wall passes under the terracing, so there is no 'wall' underneath the RSJ. the diagonal terracing side-cheek walls will have brick facades fitted to the western-facing sides of the concrete structure, which will include the overlay of the "gap" that's bugging you. You will see the same at the northern end as well. I don't know exactly how that will be finished on the inside of the brick facade, i.e. what it will look like from underneath the mezzanine but because the old Dock Walls Granite Coping stones will remain a feature under the mezzanine, I don't expect the finish around the area to be left in a messy, "unfinished" way. It wouldn't make sense to point to a feature and make its surrounds look bad.
Also have you seen the two rows of seats on the inside of the lower east stand that run across the stairs/aisle. Best seen centre screen at 13:15 of the weekend fly around. Surely they are not staying?

The land where the LoR offices/facilities are won’t be part of the fan zone plaza. This area is being temporarily leased during construction and will be handed back to the landowner.
There won’t be any fountains.

Hey Nick. Another great video as always and great win against the red shite. Hopefully we can follow it up with another win today. Just looking at the cladding in the NW corner. The top section closest to the windows is sticking out further than the rest. Not sure if this has been done intentionally but looks odd compared to how good it looks on the NE corner.

Definitely sticks out further. Time stamp 8:49 gives a good view. Could be in needs some small infills below but hard to make out unless Nick can have a closer look
@@craigwilliams4178 So, I think you mean the incomplete end, non-standard sections. Clearly there has been a more important need for the crane and jigs for barrel-cladding, which has moved to the SE corner for now, which IS a surprise. I THINK that the work schedule along the mezzanine has impacted the change of course for the barrel-cladding schedule, that's all. They'll come back to finish off the other 2-3 irregular NW Corner sections, probably not until they are cladding nearer the northern end of the West Stand, though. So, you may have to put up with that OCD twitch for a while.

It's really coming together now. isn't it? Some of my worries about Drainage have been allayed. However, the the large glass areas on the North and South Ends: Imagine the water sheeting off these in a heavy rain - I can't see any gutters taking this away, which could mean a lot of water cascading off the sides?
The drainage will be absolutely fine. Standing water won’t be an issue
On the South Stand external glass, any water cascading off the glass would fall onto the mid level section, and presumably be harvested or drained, probably similar in the North Stand too.
Hi Nick, noticed on another video that inside on the bottom of the east stand where they have I think 3 blocks, ground level, they don't look evenly spaced. Wished I could cut and paste where I mean.
The Home Team have a larger area allocated than for the Away Team, either side of the tunnel. There are also some wheelchair friendly areas around the stadium that aren't symmetrical.

@@sirbaconbutties7071 It was designed to hold as many as it holds. The fact that you think it should have been bigger doesn't matter. The architects are constrained by the land they build on and cost. As you can clearly see North to South the ground takes up nearly all of the available space. West Ham's ground is built on a bigger footprint than this and it wasn't built as a football stadium. I'll ask again, where do you see the corruption?

Jay. they're not padded seats. The terraces on the lower half of the lower tier of the West Stand in front of the 'patio windows' will still have normal seats on them. You can see the deeper, shallower terraces on the upper half of the lower tier where the 'plush' seats will be gong in future.
There definitely padded seats mate I’ve been to the showroom at the liver building in his area is padded seats!

The main TV camera will be on the concrete platform in the west stand, just above the upper most executive boxes shown at 12:20
The studio for live TV games is in the north west corner, above the vehicle access tunnel 👍🏻
Rob: Dunc has given you the correct headline answer. There will be 7 camera plinths around the ground, roughly speaking one in each corner and one in the middle of the West, East and South Stands but not the North Stand. If you want to see exactly where, you'll need to trawl back to one of nick's Studio Videos from several months ago.

Plenty of space for the fans. Most will enter the west stand via the ‘tunnel’ under the western plaza terrace

@@davidwilson2016 This is difficult to answer with perspective as we can't know what YOU think the edges of the Water Channel will be, for starters, whether you've taken into consideration all of the space under the mezzanine and how people will go the portals under there, nor whether you realise that there is a lower promenade area that projects into the Water Channel, whether you realise that people on that plaza will not all be in attendance in a narrow time-window etc., etc. Your comment is a bit like asking "how long is a piece of straw?". I want to give a more succinct answer but the statement/question is way too broad without specific context.
Thanks David, it was just my untrained eye that perceived the distance from the bottom stair of the mezzanine and where it looks like the canal will be reinstated looks narrow to me. This may be an optical illusion given the size of the development, but maybe Nick you can go lower in a video, over the end of the mezzanine/canal area?

Probably been asked before but is the word EVERTON going to be put on the south stand glass .
No. The initial draft designs from 2019 had a massive ‘Everton’ sign along the glass of the south stand. Historic England and the council objected due to the heritage conservation area status, so it was removed from the final plans.
At least there’s no chance of getting the car window smashed as there is no parking!!!!
It's looking good nick but why is there no blue on the stadium you wouldn't know it was going to be everton's new home just looking at it more black then anything
Yeah, it’s a shame. The reason is the docks are a heritage conservation area and, as part of the planning permission, Historic England and the council wouldn’t allow blue or an ‘EVERTON’ sign on the exterior of the stadium. There will be blue EFC banners in the fan zone plaza and under the north and south stands outside 👍🏻
Andy: the planners weren't happy with 'in your face' signage. there will be plenty of subtler signage in time and probably naming-rights signage too. However, all that said, it really will be impossible for anyone into football in the UK, not to know that this iconic ground is where EFC will be playing.
So happy the blues have overcome all the difficulties the PL put in their way. Never understood how the massive investment in a new stadium - that will create greater revenue in future - could be penalised by the idiots at the PL. It SHOULD have been looked at holistically in terms of the overall development of a HISTORIC club. LOOK at HS2 is the government being penalise for the massive increase in costs?? Infrastructure investment is normally viewed over a much longer time frame than general cashflow sustainability considerations, so it should have been amortised over a much longer period. The government did not assess the building of the Olympic stadium over a simple 3 year period. It argued that the longer term benefits (known also as "Giffen Goods" outweighed any concerns regarding the short term costs. The long term benefits to the area in Liverpool are similar to the 'much lauded' long term benefits of the investment Manchester City have made in there hinterland. YET STRANGELY MC have been able to kick their overspending and subsequent investigation into the long grass. (or kicked the can down the road) Does anyone with a brain really think they will have their case decided before the rules change. WAKE UP. This is not double standards or moaning but simply calling out the inequalities as they stand. Finally congratulations to everyone at Everton for defending themselves against the PL both on the pitch and off it. Well done everyone. Regards Ian H. Everton FC have obviously asked Mister Drone to keep the pictures at 13:32 to a minimum because of the embarrassing catastrophe regarding restricted view seats in the corner. At least there'll be cheap seats and complementary tickets for local schools for evermore.

I think the new stadium has the lightest and most elegant looking roof in Europe (no ugly trusses like they have at Anfield), and that alone makes this new stadium a thing of beauty. But the seats in the corner will be seen as a scandal when it opens, and shows the limitations of consulting too much with the fans who no doubt insisted on steeper seating and greater presence behind the goal a la Dortmund and their 'yellow wall'. I suppose it's only 500 or so seats rendered utterly useless. Still much better than the Arthur Waite at Selhurst Park.

Shock announcement: Your personal perspective is not better than the maths and physics of the architects, engineers, professional developers and Algorithms/AI. I am shocked at the arrogance behind the statement that you believe that all that consultation and then the highly-qualified professionals working with the prime briefs, with a £760m investment at stake, would, on purpose not check that the brief was met in full.
Take it from them that there are to be NO unobstructed views of the PITCH. That doesn't mean the whole bowl of the stadium will be in view to every seat, but the PITCH will be.
