My favorite artist and passionate source of inspiration opens his latest sketchbook and turns through pages and pages and pages and pages of a thousand or more sketches, each one a stunning rendering of someone you want to know more about but never will. I *love* it. Thank you, Adebanji.
Wonderful sketchbook and very nice style of drawing. This inspires me to do more drawings of people. I used to do this often before, but a very long time ago because I also like to draw people. I noticed my skill of drawing/painting people is very connected to sketching, so I totally agree that the hand and eye need to be trained by sketching.
hey Adebanji, this comment might go unnoticed but just wanted to let you know that I just finished sketching my first ever A5 book 2 days ago which I started from (25th Sept 2018- 18 Jan 2019). as you said I did experience some phrases you mentioned such as, some days you don't feel like sketching and make excuses saying you are tired, or you too lazy to take out pen and draw.. well, I am setting a 2-month deadline for my new A5 sketchbook which I started yesterday to fill as many faces as possible on a page on a set date.. and when I don't feel like sketching sometime in this second sketchbook that 'sketch, sketch and sketch' voice of your will struck in my head motivating me to not give up.. i am soo glad to found your videos at youtube. God bless you, I will using some of the motivational quotes that you wrote for my uni interview in a fine art course. Once again, thank you!!
You have developed your graphic skills to the point of extraordinary, truly, and your enthusiasm, and generosity towards other artists, 'just do it,' is heartwarming and amazing. I loved this journey through your most recent sketchbook! I feel all inspired - you are so vivaciously talented!
I love sketching. In general. I mostly sketch things, what I see around me. People are interesting, but sketching them I find a bit scaring. When I'm in the train and they are not paying attention (sleeping, talking to eachother, busy with the phone) I sketch them. But I'm not often in the train. Most people I sketch are from photos, or imagination.
I love seeing your sketchbooks. If you publish I would love to buy a copy. I also draw faces on transport and wonder what their story is. Does this make me a peeping Tom? ;-)
Im currently learning to draw faces , people , anatomy , portraits etc ;c I've always loved the portrait stuff. But its so hard :( Im currently just only doing eyes and noses , step by step ! Do you have tips or any exercises to learn? (obviously sketch everyday)
