I love the concept of the two brothers. The polarity of a villain and a hero. Pretty much identical trauma and backstories but two completely different outcomes.
That moment with Rosinante and Law is one of my favourite ever in One Piece. Just a pure display of kindness and empathy. Plus the voice actor for Rosinante is the same guy who did Spike in Cowboy Bebop so that helps! What a legend!
Well spotted on recognising the castle as the one from Nolands Kingdom, that is in fact the very one! :D Since you were wondering about ages: Law in post timeskip is 26, Vivi is 18. So she would have been about five years old at that point. Her meeting Wapol was when she was 10. It should also be noted that Cora-san was mostly restricted to the North Blue while searching for a cure for Law; there was no way for them to enter the Grandline. Certainly not without Law being seen and the fear of the sickness from what had happened in Flevance was spread far and wide in the North Blue. And looking at the design of Law's devil fruit, we can add yet one more reason to the list of things why his crew are the Heart Pirates.
We can see how becoming a bad person is ALWAYS by choice. Rosinante and Doflamingo went through the same horror when they were a kid, but one chose to be a good person, while the other could not abondon his pride and grudge.
If Oda wants you to love a character, you're gonna love a character. Just like Usopp, Oda is one helluva great storyteller. I can understand not wanting to watch the next two episodes. Just make sure you hydrate first.

Law's backstory is heartbreaking. Oda has mastered the creation of great character in flashbacks. He makes you love them before the tragedy lol
