I just discovered this house after receiving a sample of Montabaco with a recent purchase. It is absolutely divine. As you said, it is incredibly complex yet light and airy. It takes a lot of skill and a deft hand to work deep and hefty notes into such an ethereal blend. I'm super excited to explore this house now and see what else they have to offer.
I would love to give this a try. I do enjoy tobacco fragrances. Sometimes, I wonder if it's a childhood thing for me as my uncle used to smoke from a pipe, and I always liked the smell of the tobacco--sweet and aromatic.
I have tried this once and just got a small sample . I do love tobacco scent, but I agree with you this is anything but a typical Tobacco perfume. I have tried a few Ormonde Jayne perfumes and I have enjoyed them all. You cannot hide your enjoyment about this perfume.

I have the Intensivo version and love it. Easily a signature scent with the airy nature 100% noticeable along with the blend. I don't get noticeable floral aside from a mild violet but even it doesn't not come off as a "floral" scent. I have many of those and this scent is not anywhere near a "floral" category. The tobacco is very light and could have been named Airy Wood leather instead. A+ scent
This is an amazing scent that I’ve just discovered and I’m starting to become obsessed. I saw that it was considered more masculine leaning but I don’t agree. It’s totally unisex to me. I want it for myself but would love smelling on my husband too.

Tobacco is not a preferred note for me, it tends to be extremely heavy on my skin. However, this seems to have notes that should smoothen the tobacco note quite a bit. Would love to try it.

Ormonde Jayne Parfumes are different vs another brands, I really love all their fragrances . No doubt of the high quality. For those we love fragrances try for Ormonde Jayne are excellent , each usd you spend worth it. Rgds

For example I bought Lunar Vetiver along with this and that just bounces off of the skin and when I sprayed this I was disappointed with the sillage. Does it need time to just sit there after a few sprays for a while for it to interact with the atmosphere for it to get stronger? Is anyone facing similar issues? Kindly provide your inputs.
I love a good tobacco fragrance and own a number of the. I sometimes mix tobacco out with something more floral to make it less dirty (for work) I haven't heard of Ormonde Jayne Montabaco but it sounds perfect. please throw my name in the hat.

It’s also very heavy in iso e super. It’s a nice perfume but only for about half hour, the dry down is all iso e super. This house uses iso e super very heavy . It’s what ruins the perfumes for me

Beautiful house, I have not tried montabaco, big fan of the Ormonde jayne, and one of my favorite perfumer is Geza Schoen for sure.

Just got my bottle and I must say it IS a very nice fragrance and the tobacco is not overpowering at all, great longevity

This is definitely light and airy. Fragrantica has a note of "Mountain Air", which was a first for me. They could have just said Ozonic🤷🏽♂️😅
