Dave, great video! I have built close to 100 stir crazy roasters years ago when I was in the coffee business and you nail it. Even your cooling pan is well designed with only holes in the bottom which draws all the air through all the beans. Many do not understand how important quick cooling is. Roasting good....baking bad (for coffee). Thank you.

Will the Stir Crazy get hot enough on its own to roast coffee or is the Turbo Oven an absolute necessity?

Hey David! Thanks for the video. I've watched a couple of yours and gone to your site as well. They've been very helpful. I'm wanting to make my own roaster but I see there is a different model of stir crazy available. I'm unsure which one to get. Would you recommend the one you have here (West Bend 82306) or the newer (West Bend 82505)?

Good video. Can you give a link to Peter Schmidt’s design? I’ve been roasting with this type of design for a while now, the only complaint being bean agitation. I like the stir crazy design you’re showing.

Does the stir crazy popper release heat? or is it only used to stir?
