The song lyrics r literally translated in poetry style. So most people don't understand it.
It's about praise of nature and how our ancestors embraced, protected and worked hard to give everything to their children.
Our responsibility to protect it and tribute to farmers.

The song basically is a reminder to humankind how we are supposed to be protectors of this beautiful earth rather than exploiters (which we are now). How our ancestors left us this earth believing we will honor it, protect it and live a good life on it. How the earth equally belongs to all other kinds of life as it does to us (something we have conveniently forgotten). How the rich fertile forests and wildlife our ancestors looked after and protected eventually became our motherlands and homes. So the song is asking us to come together as one and live in peace with all creations of the earth. Enjaaayyy Enjaami!💗

    Glad u wanted to know.
Tamil language is closely related to Korean language and certain customs and norms are similar.
To begin one of the 3 tribes of Korea is of Tamil ancestry.
Remember the Dark Princess from the west as mentioned in old Korean annals and historical writings is from the Pandyan Kingdom of South India. The 3rd tribe is from her offshoot married to a Korean prince.
This Dark Princess brought with her a Boulder (Rock) to Korea with her (by sea route) n it's has a "Fish" emblem inscribe on it.
The Pandyan Kingdom state emblem is "Fish" and found o its flags as recorded on ancient Tamil annals.
The best part was conclusively evidenced by archeologist to determine the origin of this Boulder rock and found of same same composition as found in south Indian rocks around the Madurai region (so it's not north India as many believe it to be and it's a Dark Princess instead of a fair one)
That's why there are so many similar sounding words between Tamil and Korean albeit the pronunciation keeps differing slightly as in time as in all language.
    Cheers

Basically this song told us that human live with Nature, Animals, Plants etc. Preserve the Natural Resources, Protect the Mother Nature, Environment, and Ecosystem. Our Ancestors preserve and protect these all important things for us. But in todays greedy, careless, selfish human continuously destroying all important things on Earth. Actually human destroying their future by destroying the Earth. That's not the real humanity. Always remember that human don't live without Mother Nature, human don't exist without this beautiful, wonderful planet. Mother Nature and Earth don't need us but we always dependent on Earth, Nature and Natural Resources, Ecosystem. Without Earth and Mother Nature we are nothing.....

The guy singing in the female tone is called an Oppari. He's singing a form of music from Tamil Nadu, where Tamil is from. Oppari is a song that denotes loss/death. Since this song shows the things we've lost and asks one all to come together it has been used.
The beats that build the base for the song is Parai, it's a type of music again that leads to a dance as well. The percussion beats have been known to instill energy into one and all and it is hard to control yourself when hearing the beat. Even those who DO NOT absolute do not, want to dance end up dancing as the brings an energy within. The beats are loud and heavy thereby indicated by the ground moving at the beginning.

This song explains about our Tamil ancestors.. It talks about the past life of our ancestors, their cultivation, their responsibility among earth, etc.. They also saying that nature and animal's have built the world. All the properties in earth not only belongs to humans, it also belongs to each and every creatures that lives in this world. Our ancestors left this paradise to us and we have responsibilities to take care of this nature and animal's. Instead, we are hurting and killing all the birds and animals. We are destroying the nature too. Even so, we didn't take care of our elders now a days. Literally we all forget to protect our paradise.

This song is basically a unusual conversation between a grandmother and grand son about the nature in usual way of speach (with lots of twisted words an jumbles). In this song the word enjoy is not meant to enjoyment it is a tamil word, usually grandparents called their grand daughters. Enjaami refers their grandsons. So the song states that my grand daughters and grand sons, come together to protect what we built that was right for you (mother nature and family). That line we plat 5 trees, those built a beautiful farm, due to the growth of culture you screwed those things (nature and family). The line riding on the elephant means, we are so poor and lower caste who was once not allowed to walk to the streets now we developed so come to see me in an elephant. There are so many things which are related to nature and family in this song.

There are many great songs in India but most of them dont have English subtitles .
But music and cinematography is next level.
If you are interested , check out "Chorr Denge" song . It came about 2 months back and already has 250 million + views. This is very different from what you might have seen.
Its a visual story if you watch carefully you can understand what's hapenning.
Lyrics add more meaning to the song , but one can enjoy the MV even without understanding lyrics . Lyrics just helps you underatnd the song from beginning while if you dont know Hindi , you will have to interpret what hapenned at the end. You can also google meaning in English . These are available for all Indian songs as there is no single common language for Indians and we communicate with each other in English if we go to another state

This song explains how people from India especially from Tamil Nadu were sent to many countries like Sri Lanka , Mauritius or even West Indian islands like Guyana to work in tea estates, they were made to work like slaves but they were not rewarded with anything like a land or even a house to live.
Once the estates were developed after many many years , these people were sent back to India, now they come back to India and own nothing. They lost their lands and rights. Again they start from scratch working in estates in India. These are forgotten people who had to rebuild their lives.
This song explains how the land owners (Enjaami's) "enjoy" inspecting the people working hard on their lands riding on elephants ( as it mentions in the song ) in a sarcastic way.

such a meaningful and powerful song. I am glad you are showing interest in tamil songs as well. Actually, a lot of words in Korean and tamil are the same. I have seen a lot of such videos in UA-cam. And you guessed it right, it is about nature. you know about preserving it. Anyways, God bless you! On a additional note, is it just me or you look similar to exo's sehun in some poses?? 😅

This is song is about the nature and us...
this was not the land of us but the land of everyone, slowly overtime improved by our ancestors using all their hard work and sweats just for they’re unknown future children (us) to live happily. But we don’t appreciate any of that.. our culture and traditions were considered beautiful but now considered embarrassing and old, we had such strong bond with animals almost as they were part of us but not not only we are taking away they’re home but destroying ours too due to greed. There are still elders who love farming with all they’re heart as at the end of the day that’s the only thing they grew with all their life and love on, it’s part of them but they’re land is getting stolen away or too dried up due to the pollution that we caused.
At the end all our ancestor wanted for us is to be happy but not to be greedy. We are all the real monsters.

Good you want to know more abt Tamil & thanks for that.
    FYI:
    Thatha Thatha = grandfather
    Partee Partee = grandmother
Kalaivettee = Kalai (plough) + Vetee (cutter)
So it's about Farmers, cultivation & Agriculture
    Cuckoo is a real bird
that COOS - making the song cuckoo cuckoo in the morning (wake up calls of nature)
It sounds just like Dhee does in the video calling onto others.
So this cooing bird is called Cuckoo Bird in English just Bcos the bird sings or coos "CUCKOO-CUCKOO"
You would have heard of the famous Swiss Cuckoo Bird Clock - it pops out of the clock and goes Cuckoo Cuckoo to sound the hour for the respective time.
    Annakili is actually
    Annam (swan) + kizhli (parrot)
a name many tamils use to name their girl child meaning beautiful girl (white as swan signifying peace purity & pretty as parrot with nice beautiful eyes n nose)
It is just a name like Lilly or Rose describing beauty for a girl child.
In reality there is no such one bird but individual birds as in swan (Annam) and parrot (Kilizhi)
Cuckoo is a real bird (not just a name to call their children)
Annakili is just a name (no such real bird) - describing a beautiful girl
See previous comment to know more abt Tamil.
