I use anti inflammatory anti virus, anti bacteria supplements.😔 I avoid pain meds and even supplements sometimes for myself even when I'm in pain.😪I do natural relief an research everything!!!! 😊 I don't have any pets. 😓 I promised not to until I can afford to care for them!!! 😌💕

I almost lost my little Maltese Girl in January due to Pancreatitis after being on Metacam for 10 days post Dental surgery
i was going out of my mind
My vet prescribed Metacam about 9 months ago. My dog has osteoarthritis and is always in pain. I know that Metacam can have serious side effects but I don't know what to do! I stopped giving my dog the Metacam a few weeks ago after he fell il with acute Pancreatitis the second time within 5 months. The vet said that he doesn't tolerate the drug. Instead I give him CBD oil, Zeel and Traumeel. But it doesn't really help him (at least not enough).
my dog recently had a partial rootcanal, the vet says he MUST take the Previcox for 8 days to bring down inflammation to maximise chances his body accepts the new tooth filler. he had poor reaction to Loxicom in the past. i feel very torn on what to do

It’s like rocket science these days!! In the good old days, you opened a can of Alpo and went about your day!! dogs never had this many issues and aches and pains! Sellers are making money hand over fist because they know, we’d do ANYTHING to prolong our dog’s life!! Or make them more comfortable!! 😫🙏🙏🙏 praying for all our fur babies!!
In the old days there were the same issues just people didn’t care the same way we do now.
@@MichellePieon well I watched a documentary that said until they stopped feeding out of cans and had to reserve the metal for the war that’s when all these problems arose because of dried food
@@donna7507 veterinary medicine and research has come a long way. A lot of people fed their dogs table scraps. So homemade food without even knowing it. The cereal companies decided they could make dog and cat food but didn’t research what they actually needed nutrition wise. The companies making the food decided what they wanted and that’s how we came to this road block. But to say that these issues were never present is not accurate. People didn’t have the same thought process as they do now. It’s like saying cancer was never around in the 1800’s like it is today. Well yes it is but we have more knowledge and know better.
Does anyone know where I could find like a list of the amounts of vitamins and minerals that a dog needs in a balanced nutrition?
I don’t know where to look but I’d like to know the needs of my dog besides from the calorie and basic nutrients needs so I can make sure that my dog gets what it needs when I make a homemade diet.

What if you’re using metacam “as needed” so like once in a while? I know that’s vague....
