Great trip! Thanks for showing the old guy with the beard how to butterfly the Goggleye for mutton snapper bait . I caught my first Mutton immediately after your help. Good bunch of Guys on my first trip on the Yankee Capts.
I am so glad you did it. Feeech onnnnnnn! Love FL fishing channel. I’m so glad your buddy did not get sick this time. He hit his goal too. Y’all had a nice mess of fish. I’m guessing AJ was out of season.
Hi Doug!, so I was basically using the same fish finder rig throughout all depths, I would only switch from a 14oz bank sinker up to 20oz depending on the drift
Well at least you guys don't get sick that look like a pretty good sea for fishing that's got to be very expensive four days out like that I would've expected better quality fish as far as grouper and stuff like that that far out I guess it's being pounded by all the private boats to
It was a slow trip, that month a few trips had slow fishing, but overall we managed to catch some quality Mutton Snappers which saved the day. The boat fishes deep into the Gulf of Mexico, 16 hours + heading towards the fishing grounds, not many private boats.

It was an amazing trip, I’m very happy I was able to help! The Yankee Capt never disappoints!

Yea the AJs were out of season, we caught some big ones! I was using 20pound braid and 30pound fluoro - super light
what reel were you using to bottom fish? it was the silver one with orange line that you caught the big bonita on?
I was using an Accurate BV400 Left with 30 pound diamond braid and 50 pound fluorocarbon leader
@@RicardoRodriguez-ks2dx thank you very much
